Yeah its a nice system. I also got the harness to connect to my XFI system, You can display all of the functions from the XFI on the dash too. Now I will have a gauge clusterd free interior, and have just one dash to keepa eye on things.

Check that and let me know. If thats the case then I would leave it like it is

Here you go. This is from the NHRA web site and the new rule books should be out this month.

"Steel-bodied pickup trucks (7.50 seconds and slower), roll cages are permitted with no back braces if the roll cage satisfies SFI 25.1E, 25.2, 25.4, or the roll cage consists of a four-point (door car) cage with a complete SFI 2.4B, 2.5B, 2.6, 2.7A dragster, SFI 10.2, 10.3 altered, or SFI 10.4 street roadster roll cage/driver's compartment incorporated into and attached to the four-point roll cage. An upper windshield bar is mandatory."

The new 2009 rule book is not out yet. It should be out in the next couple of weeks. The paragraph I posted is from the NHRA site regarding new rule changes that are supose to be in the new rule book. If your cage meets the required spec then you will not have to have the rear bars. Your cage should meet the spec required as it would have had to pass last years rules with the rear bars just the same.

That DP is scary looking! Is it a 4" or larger? What distributor are you using?

4 1/2. I'm going to change where it exits. It now goes on the inside of the frame I'm going to run it on the inside and dump out under the passenger door. I know it will limit turning a little. MSD Pro Billet PN- 8597

No. I'm doing all my own stuff, I'm to picky to have anyone else do it. The firewall, inner fennder, and Rad support I preped and painted with Sem's Trim Black paint. it turned out nice.
