Project Never Ends

Six-is-Enough

Use to do a little Boost
Re: Project Never Ends

Good news. Will we see it running again before 2010?

As long as his wallet holds out it will be ready before Nov 2008. Got to get it ready for the shindig! I have taken on this project and it will get done.

The question is will Mary's racing Sy be up and running before then??????

Re: Project Never Ends

Block got align bored yesterday, honing process should have happened today but word is guy might or might not get it done this week.

But progress forward it will be done. Worse part will be driving it 500miles and taking it easy.

Well, good part is you need to vary your RPM, so you'll at least hear some turbo fun while you're taking it easy?:D

New slugs too, or just a re-ring and bearings?

Steal some heads from a certain race car... ;)

Re: Project Never Ends

same manley forged pistons, just new rings to hopefully seal a bit better.

the "certain" race car has the exact same casting heads for I think 2 of the 3 motors he has. They have been a bit worked over and include a lot of epoxy though, and hence leak water. So after your done driving you gotta drain the radiator. Not sure I want to do that.

We could look at my heads though and maybe do some extra porting.

I plan to build an aftermarket block motor with all the good stuff in it as time/money permit so trying to do this "fix" as cheaply as possible. I know it isn't the final solution just a temp motor for now.

Re: Project Never Ends

How much of a head start do you want :D

How about if I do not launch with any boost :D

I just wanna make it fair

I won't need a head start, I will see if I can put some extra rods and a crank for you at half track. If your in real need I can even leave a tool box so you have tools to work on it also.

I will drive by with my radio going to keep you company.

First off, I didn't think you even had you had a tool box. unless your talking about a cardboard box with some odds and end tools in it.

Secondly, I would be willing to bet you lunch/dinner that I can launch without boost at the line and run faster than your best time slip (from your truck) :p till the end of 2008.

Whadda have to loose

Re: Project Never Ends

There is a difference, some of us have street trucks that go racing, others well we just have a RACE TRUCK.

When you gotta pull the motor out after every race, no radio, no carpet, fuel cell, missing door panels, no glovebox, no heater, well it is a race truck in my book.

Re: Project Never Ends

Yes its a Race truck because I race it, not because its built that way. I just haven't finished putting it back together yet. It will have heat, carpet, heat shielding, radio, etc. by the time we race again. Question is do you want a piece of it? I didn't think so... :D

UR50SLO, yes I will race you. ;) You going to meet up with us in Bowling Green in a few weeks?

Re: Project Never Ends

I will call Mary and see if you have permission to take her truck out and play with it first.
