Haven't heard of any updates in a while.....hows it coming along?
Yeah, weather has been a major contributing factor to that :(

Since the last post, Ive just been doing little odds and ends really and tracking down some parts I need to complete it. Nothing worth posting really. Im sure Ill make some updates, but for now the rush pace has pretty much slowed down to a crawl unfortunately.

I got a new (used) door to replace the one thats on the truck now. Also started removing the big scratch in the drivers side 1/4 window. I picked up the new paint for the truck about 2 weeks ago, however its kinda looking like I wont be able to paint it till spring the way the weather is going, so unless I can find a shop I can turn into a "psudo paint booth" and kill myself in for a day or 2, I might be able to get it done.

Ive really been doing work on #180 for the past 2 weeks. Just finished clearcoating my fender and rear bumper again, along with feathering out a few spots I repainted on the body. Not my best work, but I guess thats what happens when ya rush :( Oh well, ill live.

unfortunately nothing worth talking about. Its very weird, but in the past week, especially today, I have had numerous amounts of people ask me about the truck, 3 from this board today alone.

anyway, other than picking up a few parts to replace damaged ones, like the AC lines that were hacked, couple of interior pieces that were damaged or drilled through, a new outside mirror to replace the damaged one from when it was hit and unfortunately right now im in the process of cleaning my garage out to make more room for things, so the Duck is now storage for ALL my SyTy parts, including those that will be the new pieces going into my truck, #180. I also had an awesome SyTy.net member protosy donate to the "Duck Cause" and send me a used syty shifter cable he had no use for........unfortunately FedEx has seemed to lost it, or at least thats what I am to assume since he said he did ship it, but I never got it, nor has he gotten back to me on whether he had a tracking number on it. Kinda sucks :(

Its kinda scary, but I think I will be getting over my head with all the changes I have in store for #180 between now and Nationals. Its going to be challenge to get my truck and the Duck done and still have time to acutally work and make money, lol.

Oh well, for right now, unless the winter goes away real fast or I find a shop to paint the truck in, I dont think too much will be getting done between now and spring with the Duck, but it does look alot better then when I got it, and she starts up on first try even when it sits for months.

Too bad I am halfway across the country. I am in the mood for a good day of wrenching and working. They local guys here have helped me immensely, and I feel like working, but I dare not even so much as open the hood on mine, for fear of the dreaded problem monster seeing sunlight and growing exponetially, overtaking my decnet running vehicle. Get it right and leave it alone is what someone told me and I'm thinking they may be right. But I know me and I will have to mess with something. Vicious circle huh?

Nothing short of amazing.

Morgan... You could assemble your jpegs into an animated gif and have a goddamn instructional video...

I love the before and after shots.

I cannot even fathom the commitment here.
Shit. I got Austin doin' my plug wires...
I must need to drink more coffee or get some speed or something.

Unfortunately there isnt much wrecnhing left. It starts runs and drives just fine, pretty much all the mechanics are back to perfect running order. Only thing I need to do is paint the blasted thing, thats really the only wreching left is to removed and reattach body panels.

I wanted to just ask if you have made any progress? Did you find out if the truck could hold a boost or not? Looking good, I read every page here tonite trying to learn how to work with the vehicle. Geez man, your a pro you should be on Monster Garage.

Sorry, I havent checked this thread in a while. Yes, original colors. I could paint it white/white, but Id rather keep it as close to original as possible.

Thanks for the compliment. As far as progress, nothing since about October when it started getting cold unforunately. It will probably be on the back burner till March or so.

The boost problem was solved. Truck runs perfectly and actually starts up better than my own :) The only thing thats left is body work and paint and a few odds and ends that need to be cleaned up and repainted (battery tray, ect ect)
