Re: Raced a GSXR xxxx CC
Ricky Gadson was actually running 9.13ish at 149mph. I don't care who you are, that's haulin ass. We all do our very best to make sure our trucks are "prepped" as you put it. No reason to expect people who are drag racing bikes not to. Those ZX14s mods aren't extensive. It doesn't take away from the fact that the bikes are certainly capable of running 9s on a stock bike. My ZX-10R will rip off a 9 second pass without a doubt. That is with geometry setup for the track and a first gear good for over 100mph to keep the front wheel down. Yeah it takes a good rider to get it out of them because most riders out there are plain out unskilled, but it can be done. Credit where credit is due IMO.
It's just a six said:I think we need to see some time slips & videos of all these esay mid nine bikes,w/just a header dyno tune & makes 197 HP
Gadson raced Jason Britton on Prepped ZX14's & ran 9.4-9.8 IIRC
Longer swingarms air shifters,lowered etc.
Lets see some videos of a stock, unmodified GSXR1000,ZX10, run a mid 9.it does not happen & if it does,,,it's not easy & a typical street rider will not run 9's
