Went to the local 1/8 track tonight and damn it I cant get a 6 sec pass outa this thing. The weather kept the mph down some but boy did she 60'! It was 75-80 deg and humid with showers around. Here are the slips... This is on a .500 tree...I'll post the slips soon...

60': 1.508 8psi launch at 3000 rpm no spin
330': 4.531
1/8: 7.076
MPH: 97.747


rt: .670
60': 1.509 10psi launch at 3100 rpm just a chirp
330': 4.537
1/8: 7.087
MPH: 97.67

60': 1.538 15 psi launch at 3200 (10deg retard on 2step) spinning
330': 4.565
1/8: 7.110
MPH: 97.77

The only suspension change from the previous runs is suspension travel limiters in the front like Nolan posted a while back (it does work) Picked me up .03 on 60' which is alot to me.

That's incredible! I've pulled 1.60 60's w/ 5-6psi launches so far. Guess I have to try launching harder!

That's gotta be a 10 second run or damn close!! ::thumbsup::

Yeah still stock orig motor and trans except the tq converter....Funny you mentioned Les he just called me. Waller trans is here but I have not put it in yet.

Most of Les's 1/8 mile times were in the 6.7's. He usually pulled consistent 1.6x 60' times. Most of his issues were keeping it planted, it would spin like mad with only 3-4 psi at launch.

im sorry, i meant the hoovers...some time back, i looked through the gallery at dochoover.com and saw some timeslips and they had similar 60' times to what phillip is doing now :D

Caltracs, Green dot tires, Bilstein HD shocks, front control arm travel limiters. The tires are the key but I am the only one that has run them that I know of.

MSD 6AL with the MSD module selector. Listen to the video that I posted and you will hear it kick in.

phil, which track you plan on going to for a 1/4 mi run? rockingham or fayetteville?
