time for another wrench session at mattw's shop....as most of you know the shop got a major overhaul and we've been dying to fill the shop with a bunch of syty's since.

The shop now has a few more toys and a lot more useable space since the last meet...including a lift and a pit, and a few freed up jackstands that sy381 will still be banned from attempting to use. :lol:

RenzFab will supply all food and non-alcoholic beverages....if you want some beer bring it along. For those looking for something to wrench on, you can help me work on the twin turbo ls1 ty to make it street legal for homecoming. :tup: my plan is to have any nut/bolt i need in hand and ready to go. heh.


so lets get a lit of who is coming so that i can have the appropriate amount of food ordered from the caterer.

1. MikeMuffins: TT exhaust (add mufflers/cats), maybe downpipe flanges, fab fenderwells, install rear Baer brakes, replace a fuel line or 2, clean things...sti oil change & rear brake pads/rotors
2. BigSmoosh: motor mounts
3. CrazyKaese: take pics of undercarriage/rear suspension, adjust coilovers
4. pontiacws699: head gasket(s)
5. ziembic: racetronix fuel pump harness, purple wire fix
6. sharkbait: double flaring/line lock/bleed brakes, mount -8,-6 fuel lines, mount fuel cell/external pump/filter, fab exhaust, swap leaf springs to drop springs, install A2A
7. vinniety: fuel filter
8. BoostedSUV: diagnose RPM specific misfire, ABS/BRAKE light are on and perhaps find a slow leak in tire if time permits

I was interested last time matt had an open wrench fest but couldnt make that date. What is the address, want to verify that its not that far. I really would like to come and see all the great work Matt and his Dad did to the place. :tup:

You can hang out all weekend if you like. My basement is open to anyone that would need to crash over night. Two recliners + couch + floor space...

I'll have my son(5 y/o) with me Sunday but Saturday its just me..

Renz should have his CNC table by then and I'm ordering a plasma cutter today so we should have some new toys.. :)

I'll be there - need to use your lift for the day - want to take a buncha detailed pix of the 4link installed and also adjust all 4 coilovers to dial things in a bit better.

I might swing out for a day. Tentative. And prob w/out Ty.

EDIT: Wait...if I bring my truck will I be able to get some help changing the oil return line and oil pan block o-ring? (requires hard lines to tranny removed). Sounds like fun, eh? I want to photo-document the process.

I would be in...but I'm in NC for work meetings and staying for the Charlotte auto fair that weekend. If the date changes....I will be there. If not....have fun!
