Ricers get out of control, leaving 3 shot at Irwindale Track

Dont know all the details yet, but i just saw the story on the news...

3 people were shot, in the grandstands, leaving 2 injured and one in critical condition, at the street legal drags tonight... from the news footage all they showed were 4 rice burners with police tape around them, bullet shell markers, and gang banger lookin fools getting questioned... i guess this was one arguement that couldnt be settled on the track... but it sure as hell is giving me second thoughts about going there on sunday to race... wtf is wrong with people!?!?!

I was thinking of going there too...... I was on my way home from SB - on the 605 - was going to stop by to check it out.....

I was going to do some research for a friend of mine..... he wanted to open a track in Houston....

Anyway - people get shot everywhere.....just happened to be at this track this day...

I wouldnt consider it to be any kind of big deal....

A guy got stabbed and killed at a Hot Import Nights , in Long Beach - never heard anything about that... never got reported anywhere..... Happend not far from where we had a booth....didn't hurt Hot Import Nights events at all..

...well i had to find SOME reason to use that emoticon...anyways, i think its ironic that a post about ricers killing eachother (yay) turned into an argument about killing fellow sytyers :lol:

From what I read in the paper this morning - LA times - it was two guys that were having words thoughout the night...... not even racing - just spectating - after the event - there was a fight the one guy pulled a gun and shot a few people. One guy died - two others wounded.

It was a hispanic guy in a SUV...so too many people blaiming the"ricers" for it - when it wasn't even someone associated with them.....

Why does everyone always have to blame the youngest group of people and automatically assume that it was them that did the wrong ?

When YOU were 16-17-18 years old - people probably said the same things about you - "the wrong element"
