I agree with pancakes, take the time to write him a letter, get it certified so you know he recieved it. Go about this the right way. Unfortanly most of you won't be able to sue in small claims, and most of you should get lawyers. The more you say the more the defense has.

this may sound silly but if you want results you will need to mail a letter Text m,essages are for teenagers and the ex mayor of detroit, also if you really were planning on prusing legal action shut up, everything you post is admissable in court as slander unless you can prove he stole your or anybody elses parts 100% Id keep my mouth shut

How could the court prove syty user "americanmuscle" was actually a customer, by legal name? This anonymous user could be anybody, including just another somebody that got ripped off. They're aren't going to waste a bunch of resources to prove otherwise.

I think court is a waste of time cuz dude probably won't even show up or sheltered his/your money somehow.. You need to get money outta this dipshit while he's hopefully still got it, and by any means nessasary. Those sure were nice snow mobiles I'd just walk in to his shop and start taking shit you already paid for. Try and stop me, guy.

If the cops came I'd tell them I paid 15k for this and that, make him prove you didn't. I mean he got your money and you got nothing...you have a check he cashed (proof) but he has no proof he gave you anything.

Ah fvck it, just shoot him in the nuts and do everyone a favor.

Cops would be called person taking parts would be arrested for theft, I went through this years ago with a shop here APE that screwed alot of people out fo hundreds of thousands of dollars. People fiuled suit he declared chapter 13 and has to pay 1.5% of the amount owed non securured creditiors (ie customers) will get nothing

'Cause if it were me, and he's got $10k+ of MY money and I've got nothing to show for it and I had no leverage, I'd be working on getting me some. But that's just me. I know I'd hate for bricks (or worse) to come in the front window of the house. Or for my wife or kids to turn up missing because of some bad business deal I did. Or have 3 or 4 guys named Vinny, none of them with a neck (you know the kind of guy who stands in a doorway and just fits), show up and express in terms he'd understand that I'd like my money back, and soon.

I applaud you guys for having more restraint.

Please read this post again warmpancakes, you will be hard pressed to find me saying that he stole my parts, and by the way text messaging is the way he would occassionally get a hold of me after I would try to call him. Sometimes, it does work. Slander now is another thing...please read up on that. I have only told the truth about what has taken place with Rockford Racecraft. Didn't even stretch it a little! Now, lets talk about the results you speak of.....I may never get a penny or a single one of my parts back, but without slandering Reffett or his business this thread alone has brought much attention to RR. I am not suggesting taking your vehicle to him nor have I suggested not. Many, many people have read my true, non slandering thread and can clearly make thier own decisions. Maybe even now make better ones. I could share with you the many pm's that I have received showing you how many people have taken their trucks from RR since reading my story, but I really don't feel the need to. Thanks.

i agree a bit on your side. i thought about getting me some, than again i was the supplier /vendor. kinda upside down story on this, but than for sure you wouldn't be getting anny, and for the money that was involved, maybe 1-2 years profit, is it worth to do 6 yrs? better be calm and choose your path on geting your money back instead of doing the different thing and be sure you don't get your money back, kicking all the frustrations out on this person .
than again i was able to really kill a few people that did some bad stuff to me, but after a few months you get your temper back.

My Avatar is odviously my Typhoon when I bought it was orange then after a $8,500 paint and body that is still the way it sits in my garage. If I dont keep it with Guy it will sit there unfinished in my garage forever.

IMO $8500 for a paint job they better leave me 4 grand in cash in the glove box,or it ain't happening.

I'm with Luke on this one Craig. Its the same ole song and dance! Did he tell you his story from atop of his nice smowmobile or in a video conference while bear hunting in Canada with his father? I support your desire to get your truck back on the road, however mine will never be touched by that business again and I doubt yours will be touched by him anytime soon. I mean come on, snowmobile season is right around the corner as is bear season. :roll: There was a time when he had me convinced that he was the only syty guru around, but if I understand you, your doing an ls swap. Those guys are a dime a dozen. Check out any s10 forum, or this site. My truck may one day make the trip back to Rockford to one of his little BBQ's (I think I've funded one or two of those), but only to let him know that there are others that want and can do the work. Craig, I really do wish you luck, but I believe it will be your story on this thread (in another couple of years) that will bump it to the top again. Don't lose your avatar, thats the way it will look at RR for quite some time my friend. :2cents:

Well I met Guy and sat down and talked to him today for a half an hour and I will say this much he walked me through he is getting through the some 17 sycones and typhoons but slowly with the economy many of his suppliers went under! After that I take it you wont see Guy specialize in SYTY but all varieties even your every day daily driver Jeep. Guy is keeping afloat making a go. Unfortunatly I believe alot of his buisness decisions were not good ones some were buisness failures on bad economy. Do I think Guys intent is to screw people NO. Another unfortunate thing is he doesnt give a warrenty. And with these being performance engines and under the harsh conditions I understand the no warrenty claus.He told me that in very beginning also. After talking to my attourney and how much money he and other attourneys want as a retainer just isnt worth it grant it I my win first part of suite. but the secound part collecting the money most likely not gonna see it! I have decided to finish my build by Guy and get done what I can to my truck. The LSX build on my truck is dead and gonna do the original 5.3 LS build originaly planned and get the nightmare over with. Its the only way as I see it. Am I happy no but cant dwell on the crap in life. Every bad thing in life is a test. Im not defending Guy but stating what I believe I know everyone will disagree but it is what it is. I just want my truck done even if it does take 6 years because if it doesnt get done by Guy it never will I just dont have any more money to start again. I believe it may take a while longer but I do think he will do it someday.

Hey gave me the same old story. guess what, his suppliers like ATR went out of business years ago. They went out of business before he gave me a quote of three months back in april of 2007. SO HE KNEW HE WASNT GETTING PARTS FROM THEM.. Then he had the balls to use that as an excuse for months on end.

Good luck to you, I hope you get what you want in a timely manner. I had to ride his ass every week for almost 2 years to get my truck out of his shop running. Most of the time he wouldnt even pick up the phone or respond, and when he did you better believe he had another excuse and some else to blame the delays on.

He has more excuses than a junkie looking for another hit.

Lets mark this thread so in 6 months when craig jones posts and say i stil dont have this and that we can direct him to his great post above.... Listen if Guy cant take on a job for what ever reason, dont have space in shop, have other customers to take care of first, BLA BLA BLA then dont take it on. If he takes money from people and doesnt do what hes paid for then hes not a person to deal with. I'm a junior typhoon owner compared to a lot of people on this forum and I'M tired of hearing GUY stole my money, gave me back used parts, still has my truck after 10 ****en years.

I have to say i never thought of giving someone more then 10-15 percent as a depoist when they do work for me. This includes work on my house as well. They need a deposit that is fine but not 5 thousand dollars depoist on a job that is costing 7500.

It was more than paint! It included house of kolor cobalt w ghost flames and removed orange paint. plus body stuff like ram air II hood and smoothed firewall and fenders and under hood and clear tail lights. Caleb at permantley stained customs did awsome with it .http://pscustoms.com/

What if Guy does this! There are two parts to a law suite 1st win suite 2nd collect $ I know I can win first part but if i cant collect on 2nd part now im out $ w Guy and now atty. Oh plus lost time at my job !
