It is sitting outside in the snow at RR. Reffett told me that my truck would be inside. A local (Rockford) gentleman took those pic's of it sitting outside in the snow and sent them to me. I posted them to let people see how RR treated their costumers vehicles. A week after it was broken into when Reffett finally told me he stated....and I have this in an email..."your truck was inside, we had only pushed it outside for a day or two...tops", "and that is when it was broken into." Give me a break. Guess he didn't know one of his friends had sent me pic's of it sitting outside.

I'd hate myself if I knew my dream truck was going downhill when it's supposed to be getting repaired. IF nothing else & I HATE to say it but ...... Sell what's left of it as a whole, part it out, & or @least go put a car cover over it or something .... Otherwise I believe it's headed for the graveyard


BTW not ragging on you man or anything as I know you probably wouldn't park this thing outside like that but as a broke car enthusiast who has to literally scrounge for nice stuff it really pisses me off to see stuff like that & guys like Reffett who do this to other people's vehicles!!!

I live 250 miles from Loves Park yet I still drove up there twice and clay barred the truck just to try and keep up with Reffett trying to put it down. Not sure what the hell he line of thinking is....maybe he thinks if he takes us all down one at a time...his truck might actually be worth something. Reffett is a piece of work!

I had to try and do something to it...I basically had close to 23k in it when you seen those pics of it sitting in the snow......well actually 16k in it....the other 6k was probably sitting in Reffett's wallet as he took his father bear hunting in Canada. What a POS.

Doctors there are pretty competent and for a kidney and a liver and lungs and heart you would probably turn a small profit.

Nah....I dont want to be a part of his disappearance, but I see what you are saying. However, if a Syclone fell off the lift onto him........nevermind, that wouldn't work either. Most of them are sitting outside unless you are one of his boys and even then I'm not so sure. I have received a few pm's from people that have recovered their vehicles after seeing the true "guy", and some of them were "his boys."

I tried to get in contact with Guy Reffett this weekend. A couple of months ago he had my phone blocked. But this weekend the my call went through. He finally answered and here is what he had to say...."Mother ****er...you're really pushing it." Then he hung up on me. Wow....all I want is my motor and 6k he bassically stole from me! That is the second time he had spoke to me like that. The first time he said...."If you want to come get your truck then come and get it you winny ****ing bitch." That was over a year and a half ago. Geez........Reffett. All I want is what you stole from me!

Thought about you the other day. Sorry to hear that Guy still sucks. Did he ever have an answer about why he tried to screw you and give you junk parts back? (sorry, haven't read this thread in awhile) What was the response from the local police? I'll assume he said he doesn't owe you the 6k as he considered it a non refundable deposit or some BS like that?

I see 2 guest reading this....was hoping one of them was Guy. I would love for him to tell his side of the story as I am sure many of you would. I have heard more than once that he may be going out of business very soon. I just hope it's before he lays his hands on another truck....ruining it, and anyone else's hard earned money. I would like to think that I had a hand in his "fail" by sharing my experience with Rockford Racecraft! But his pride will never let it be known.....he will blame it on the economy. I have pretty much wrote off my losses. I will however, until the day I die, get my experience out to as many as I can in how he does business. I feel sorry for many of you that have lost way more then I had to lose. I just don't want to see another single person lose a dime to his @ss.

If he's doing all of what you say, you are truthful about this and still has your truck or parts. Then you need to go to the shop in person, and request your products and truck right there on the spot.

If they refuse to give you your rightfully owned parts/truck. (make sure you have documentation. Like the title to the truck clearly showing you as the owner. Printed copies of the check being cashed, and the reciept from his shop for those parts. Go to the local police department and talk to someone about filing a theft report and tell them what's going on. I would also get a lawyer.

The thing I find odd. Is that you've waited so long to do something about this. If it was me, 3 months I would have been to the local police, and had a deposit towards a lawyer.

Reread the entire thread. He did go to get his truck/parts. He got the truck and a pallet of junk parts because they wouldn't give him what was his. From what I recall, his truck is almost finished by another builder. :tup:
