Sadly no Typhoon Successor in sight - A Bitter Sweet Day!

SportMachines has every part you would need to "restore" it. The time frame really just comes down to if you have the money to do it right, and if you have the spare time to do it.

I like the idea of a raffle as well. $5/ticket to $20/ticket. I bet you make a good chunk of cash that way, and like someone else mentioned, if you don't want the cash, donate it to the site (or buy a bunch of nationals admissions with it, etc)

Still at home. And despite the different buy inquires I would rather give it away to someone here with just one catch! They must be committed to restoring it fully within a certain time frame.
Again, it would be their's to keep in exchange for me know that it was restored to former glory and will be coveted and cared for by the new owner whoever that is.

My all white 93 Typhoon, well, isn't just a vehicle but a "family member" and we have been through thick and thin together being my daily driver (work commute is short).
Just want to know it will be in good hands and in a good place, that's all...

I would be willing to accept the challenge/offer.

Raffle it off, i would definitely buy a ticket for it. I would love to have one for a dd. I got to drive a srt8 300C and i was quite impressed for being such a big car that 6.1L really got her moving .

C'mon man!! Give it time! Didn't you see that they're bringing back Grand Nationals??

i heard these were just concepts... did it get the green light? 3.8 turbo? Some of the concept drawings I saw look pretty awesome! It'd be nice to see GM toughen up Buick since there's no more Pontiac. They gotta use the classic GN logo too.

I'm in for a raffle ticket! I think that's a great idea!

I'd be in for a raffle ticket as well. It'd be nice to use my own truck to restore another one, and unlike the guy who owned it before me, not bolt on a bunch of useless crap to blow it up.

Sheesh...one post and...crickets. Do you realize we're talking to ourselves?

Serious about giving it away. Lohand?? Any response to the raffle idea?

GM is a company I will never understand. They come up with cool concept ideas to get everyone excited and then they roll out something completely different.

So really this is just another version of the ATS. Tiger Woods and Shaq couldn't convince people that buicks are cool, so they resurrect the GN in an attempt to boost sales, and tarnish the legacy of the GN in the process. Sounds about right to me.

Raffle sounds like a good idea. Can I donate the Ty to this site and have them run the raffle?
As for being serious? Yes, absolutely, but think I'm having pre-separation anxiety.

The problem with the raffle though is you can't control the outcome. it could end up in the hand of the "wrong person".

Oh, what about a site vote? Let me explain: Members of the forum vote on who they think would be the best recipient based on my original requirement? Any thoughts?

What if you do both? Say select 10 people or so on here who shows they are loyal to there projects and then throw them in a raffle together.

Ah. Understood.

Even though I first suggested a "raffle" in this thread, it would in fact be tough to regulate such a thing (and of course, there are actual state regulations for such things which we won't get in to).

However, if you took the 10 candidates who want it, put their name in a hat a drew one, don't think there could be much contention.
