Location of BOVs (hidden or not),
-- Hidden and already mounted ( see if you can find it )

I think I know (but lets see if others can spot where they might be)...

It would be a shame to hid all of this work under an engine cover

engine covers can come off when its sitting at a show. Could help keep it clean if he drives it like he says he will.

Opps - need to clean up this area a little more.

Okay - were not really sure why this wire is in the head.
It's been in every new Pontiac head I've ever had.

I am just thinking, maybe that wire is used in the sand cores for support/placement. Once cast sand is removed, but wire stays.

okay we've found out what they are for

BTW found out what the wires in the heads are for, they're to minimize corrosion of the aluminum, seems they act to keep the reaction from dissimiliar metals to a minimum, in other words they kinda act like baking soda soda in battery acid , a catalyst to keep corrosion off the aluminum. Don't know the PHD way to explain it, but bottom line they're supposed to be in there.

Same reason they put blocks of zinc on steel boat hulls to keep them from rusting. Corrosion is caused by oxidation (loss of electrons to form the resulting corroded film). The electrons that would become corrosion on the aluminum are transfered to the steel wire, and then the wire will corrode. This property caused a huge problem on some aluminum boats with steel fasteners in the past :2cents:

Good Afternoon,

I'm a little late getting this e-mail out.

Kenny is really kicking butt on the body mods. He is making sure everything fits perfect.

Hard to tell from this picture but you can see Kenny has widen the rear cover to have a 3/16" gap.

2007_11_23_KD_0.jpg

Tailgate has been smoothed.

2007_11_24_KD_0.jpg

You can also see the side of the gate has also been filled.

2007_11_24_KD_1.jpg

Cab is ready for Primer. The cab has been widened 3/16" to line up with the bed sides.

2007_11_25_KD_0.jpg

Yep, The bed has been extensively work to make sure t fits perfectly with the cab.

Next week the truck should look a little different as it will all be one color.
