Well you know I am going to be there.

I will have the pocket bike (with cones) and also the truck in tow.

Going to be fun.

Updated: SE Shindig Date Planning

Revamped for the new dates to better accomodate everyone. We picked dates in the beginning of Oct and Nov. This way, we dont clash with anniversaries, halloween, turkey day, and any other misc stuff.

Sorry guys, but for the ones who voted, please vote again......

I think October is still too hot. I voted November, later is better. How about some Orlando locals giving us a typical early October weather report?

Beginning of this Oct it was in the low 80s with afternoon wind breeze kicking in. Evenings dropped down to the low 70s. We also had a badass swell roll through with 2ft overhead.

I voted for November, otherwise it's to close to Nats. Anything but Oct.17-19. I would have to bring extra money to buy people birthday drinks. :rotf:

Oct 12 and 26 were out due to 2 main people helping put this thing together wouldnt be able to attend.

While I personally voted that I'll be there regardless, im leaning more towards Nov as well.

Im thinking we keep this poll up till the end of Dec and call it from there. Give us a solid 9 months to plan and coordinate. Lets get some more votes in and get this thing set!

Just some FYI... good chance that our local GN club will show up. Nice group of guys, gone to a few of their meets they have every few weeks. Im sure a few of them will join us at the track if we end up going... be fun to have some SyTy GN grudge matches.

Daron may have a point, February! The weekend before Daytona 500 weekend.

FAST does the miami meet the last week of Jan usually.... before or after usually results in conflict of schedule with alot of FL people.

Just to update about this, it has been talked about in the GN club and there are a bunch that like the idea. ;) Friend of mines white TT with a stage 2 should be ready here within the next 3 months and I'm sure he'll bring that as well as one or two others out. Doubt he'll have his 7 sec gn running again though.

Cool, im glad they're interested in coming out. Been talking with George M. in emails and keeping him up to date on whats going on. I plan to hop over to turbobuicks and make a post about it and officially invite them when we have some more things wrapped up.

speaking of which...

We need to get the voting done and close on a date. I know everyone is busy this time of year, but I want to have voting closed by the end of Dec. Hood has busted some ass and getting the site updated with current information and getting registration up and going. Once we have the dates set, we can begin with the bigger plans and preparation.

So please get the voting in....

Not that I wouldn't show up or anything if they're there, but I have ZERO interest in the Turbo Buicks attending. Just a bunch of Grandpa cars. And I may be able to get the Sy and the Ty there, but I don't think I have a driver for the Buick.
I really have no interest in the Buick thing, I can hang with them any weekend down here. The trucks, on the other hand, are something special.

Re: Southeast SyTy Shindig - Date Planning

I think GN/TTA involvement is nice, but will need to have some planning done to accomodate (like, if they're a part of the food, how do we handle that?). Have they expressed any interest in just going to the track or wanting to hang out all wk-end or anything like that? I know it may be a bit early to answer those Q's.

I'm like Gary, though, I'm coming for the trucks, the owners, and.....well......some pocketbike racing (okay, so maybe not just like him).

Re: Southeast SyTy Shindig - Date Planning

No doubt this will be a SyTy event first and foremost, not an official SyTy/GN/TTA event. However, I did mention to them they are welcome to show up if they want since they usually extend the welcome to us to their events and meets.

I dont know what kind of interest they have in hanging out the entire event or just meeting up to BS, cruise, or go to the track. They are more than welcome to hang out. As far as food is concerned... if you wanna eat, you gotta break out the wallet. Only fair to everyone.
