some more progress.....cladding is painted. Looks so much better than original. No more black chrome and making them greasy to look good for a day or two. I didn't want the glossy finish so they are satin.

Dam that cladding color is sexy!

If you don't mind me asking what paint color is the cladding?

Did you have a problem painting them after you've had black chrome on the cladding? I've read that people have had headaches with painting cladding that has had black chrome on it bc of the residue left in and on the cladding. Any tips for prep work?

The cladding I painted had not had any kind of treatment since I got the truck 2+ years ago and probably way beyond that. It was prepped and cleaned again and again. I would be weary about painting the ones on my other truck however, knowing how much black chrome I have used.

Truck is looking awesome. I love the way you have the exhaust exiting and I'm still jealous of how clean that engine bay is. Good lord.

I was gonna ask how much you want for those wheels as they would work perfect on a camaro project I have in mind, but I think I should probably buy the car first....I have issues.:rotf:

I have got to come and see this thing. I just realized that you are in West Columbia. I live in Camden, but I work in Columbia. Maybe you can build my Typhoon like this too! If only I had the money.

Suh-weeet. I only wish I had both the tools and half the talent...everything looks top shelf. Came a long way since last I saw this thread. Hard to say what my favorite thing about the truck is. Probaby the rubber it burnt up on the driveway!!
thx for the updates.
