Syclone Fiberglass Bed

Re: Syclone Fiberglass Bed

Fenders work on both a sy and ty so your market opens up a lot.

Fiberglass s10 fenders already exist, lot of extra work to build a mold for something your not even going to use yourself, and already exist on market.

I have found a few places that have fiberglass beds also. The more people that make/carry parts, in theory could drop the price.....in theory.

Re: Syclone Fiberglass Bed

I will check with Jose for price for each fender, and see how soon we can coordinate some down time for my ride for building molds. I might have to strong arm him into the front bumper and side cab pieces at same time....It will probably be next month. I won't be doing stock s-10 fenders though, just the syclone versions with cladding integrated.

And forgot to mention he did say $900 for all 4 bed pieces, individually made plus shipping, you would have to glass them together and build the steel frame. Like I said earlier, glad to let someone know how I built the frame for this.

Re: Syclone Fiberglass Bed

Id be interested in some fiberglass fenders with some ducts like on the escalade or range rover for extra cooling

Re: Syclone Fiberglass Bed

What would be the price for it already put together.

I think he told me $1200 or $1300. If you are in SoCal, and feel like rolling to just north of Los Angeles, you can check mine out and talk to Jose. His company is USBodykits and they are located in Sylmar. My fabrication shop is in the same complex and George and Cracker could build the steel frame if needed. Text me to (818)489-5663 if you are interested in stopping by.

I won't be having ducts built into mine, I just want them to look stock. But fiberglass is pretty easy to modify once it's built, and you can have them modified.

Our trucks already have a corvette engine might as well put a vette body on them also.

Why not? Safety concerns or is there something else?

He has to have a truck that is put together to be able to drive it on the street, fiberglass pieces or not. ;)

I was going to make the point about Corvette and other factory fiberglass body vehicles but there is no talking to him. :D

What real difference would it make? If you get hit in the rear, you still have the frame to help you from getting run over. You could still get hit/run over if a semi truck hits you. I personally never go out for a drive thinking "todays the day somebody is going to run over my ass" day.

also, just think about how easy it would be to do exhaust work or change a fuel pump!!

Re: Syclone Fiberglass Bed

The savings in cladding itself pays for the entire bed. Put me down for one shipped in 4 pieces. Advise when you have the shipping/freight cost to 37042. If it pans out, I will pick one up. Also interested in the front fenders, should you guys tackle that project as well.
