Damn its been awhile...

Yeah, no kidding. Next time you're back in the 'hood for a few days give me a call.
I thought of you today while I was recycling some take-out parts from your Sy into one of my projects. The AC suitcase you gave me is now in DesertSy. Take care,
DaveP

2. New job is awesome. Just about to be released as a solo Warden.

When I get all settled in I will be having a SyTy party at my house. Stay posted.

See ya,

If you get the Mount Baldy area or the 7 Oaks Dam area let me know maybe we can meet up sometime.

I got Long Beach with an alternate position on a 58' catamaran (patrol boat Coho) out of Wilmington harbor. I do however have free roam of LA county and could easily make it up to Baldy to do some big game stuff and 7 oaks for some freshwater.. Ill let you know.

The attention to detail on his truck is equal to some of the best trucks on this board. When he gets back and finishes it, it should be insane.

It's sitting in his garage waiting. He is still working on his house, so as soon as that gets finished up I'm sure he will start working on it again.

Re: Syclone Gut Swap

2 years??? Damn! Whatd they do? Build it, tear it down, rebuild it, put it on jackstands, and rebuild it again?? Lol

The house looks great! I saw it a few weeks ago. I think they are moving in before they finish the kitchen so it should be soon. I can't wait til we can all get together for a meet there. I will bring my leaky ass truck down there armed with a few courts of oil. I don't care if it blows up. It will be there.

Pretty much. I helped out one weekend when they were pulling windows. It was fun swinging the hammer at their house for a few hours.

Truthfully, they pretty much gutted the entire house. Then he went away for training as a game warden for a year, so that caused some setbacks. The house has really come around quite well considering all those delays. Should be pretty dialed when finished.

It´s cool to see people investing so much time into their trucks,
and posting the progress on the forum !

Clean work !

Re: Syclone Gut Swap

When Paul was here Monday, he said they were going to get the water heater back in this weekend, and they could move in. I guess one needs hot water. It doesn't take me two years to put a water heater in. I haven't seen the house for a year or so, but I'm sure it's nice. Davey-Z does nice work, and he's been doing a lot of it over there while Paul was in training.

Come down any time, and we'll put your truck on the lift here and fix the leaks.

Yeah Dave has been putting in time for sure. Damn near cut himself in half in the process, but that's the way it goes I guess. Hopefully they finish up soon.

That would be great Dave! I'm pretty sure the remote oil filter lines and turbo oil feed off the block are leaking. I may also have a rear main seal leak. I can't get the inspection cover off to check it without drilling the bolts though, so a lift would definitely be useful. Hopefully I can get out there soon. Your expertise would be much appreciated.

Re: Syclone Gut Swap

Well the ball has started to roll again...

Ordered a custom grind cam from Nolan so I have all the required pieces now...

Had Dave P over for a day to get the cam and crank in and degree the cam... All looks good so I went a little further over the weekend.... Well I got the short block together... Will do the top end tomorrow..

Well enough of me blabbing here are some pics of my restarted Syclone build... Took long enough...lol...

Enjoy...

These Diamond pistons were almost too purdy to put in the block:
