Hey guys...im new to the forum...but me and a few kids in my school are fighting over who would win...SyTy or Lightning...i know SyTy would...but they say no...what could i tell them to convince them more...thanks..andrew

Stock VS. Stock
'01 Lightning VS. '92-'93 Typhoon / Winner: Lightning

'01 Lightning VS. '91 Syclone / Winner: Syclone

Now if your friend start talking mods and crap, then chances are the Lightning would be the winner due to the fact that their simple mods result in more HP than ours do.
Also keep in mind, if they are talking about street racing, anything can happen, so I would put my $$ on the Sy.

Oh man, you guys wanna get the L owners fired up? Go over to the http://www.nloc.org , then go to the War Zone, check out the Syclone thread and toss on your .02. I've been going back and forth with them for days now. :grin: At this point the pissin' match seems to be simmering down, but I'm sure a few of you could put it back on the front burner. :grin:

I have met about 6 L owners all but 1 have been assholes. My favorite one was this chick and boyfriend. I asked if she wanted to race and she laughed at me and said "in that?" I said "yeah." So we caught a light. Her front tires were on the white cross walk line and I pulled up till my nose was on it, cuz i didnt want my tires on it since its slick. She started talking all sorts of shit about how my truck was gonna lose and I had better pull up in front of her cuz I needed the head start and all this shit. Then her BF started in from the passenger seat. So, I of course being that I am a "mature" 20 year old I lay into him about how SHE was driving and his lack of balls and how she probably had his balls in her purse and shit. anyways a 10 pound launch and ran it up to 80 and she was so far back she pulled off and I didnt see her all night.

Stock to stock the Syclone should win especially on the street, but there are a few lightnings I'd rather not line up against at the track.

I just dealt with them too those guys are fun to get riled up because they just dont understand how slow a 14.1 1/4 mile is

I have learned to enjoy their ignorance. The stuff that is spouted on the internet is so contray to what I have witnessed at numerous tracks that I give about as much credibility to the NLOC UBB as I do to claims of alien abductions....

Bone Stock w/ 700 miles my '99 Lightning ran 13.7 @ 99.8. Really not that slow, but my Syclone went 13.6 @ 96 w/ a lousy launch - STOCK! :grin: Oh yeah, 10 YEARS AGO!!
