Fu(& off Easterbunny. You were a troll when you were here nine months ago, and apparently some things never change. 5100 lbs eh? BS. You gut every possible piece outta your Lightning every trip to the track...last I hear to run low 13s.

Your engine is out hmmm. Don't forget to put the oil pan drain plug back in. Last year Easterbunny tried to do a minor mod on his tranny and forgot to put fluid back into it and fried his tranny. Then he went to NLOC and asked everyone how he could trick Ford into warrantying it. I think he wound up taking it to AAMCO.

Then there is his legendary post on the NLOC forums asking whether the Eaton spins all the time or only under boost. Good job buddy. Please let us know when you will be out cruising so we can get the Hell off the road.

Back again in another few months. :p

My truck weighed in at 5200 lbs at Bristol. It had a defective torque converter which went bad.
My last track visit was up here in Clarksville at full weight which is approx. 5100 lbs. Why Lighter than 5200 lbs. Because the only difference between what I ran in Bristol and what I ran here was the following: I removed the topper and installed the fiberglass bedcover in its place also ran with the stock torque converter which is about 20lbs heavier than the stock one.
My tranny ran a couple of quarts low at one point last year.
I decided to get a built tranny while the engine was out last year, the old one was okay with some slightly burnt clutches I never have destroyed a transmission.
I check this board out at least once weekly. If you don't people looking then close it up.

Good for you. But, please check all the fluids and make sure to put your oil pan drail plug back in. In fact, ask jimmy to check your truck before the race

I could probably go through all the posts everyone here has made and critique them. Point is a Typhoon was smoked in MO.
I'll be waiting for Jimmy to stop by soon. No my truck isn't quicker than everyone's Typhoon, but it will be quicker than Jimmy's.
I have never been beat by a syclone or a Typhoon. I smoked Will by .4 seconds last year and this year there was a Ty in Nashville that was running in the 9's for the 1/8th. I look at the quickest Sy/Ty list and wonder where all of the fast ones are. Are they hiding?

Glad you got your state abbreviations straight... Really it is doubfull there was a race at all, prolly just that lighting owner's wet dream, typed up on the net. I find it telling you find it necessary to come here to our board and do the internet racer thing. Ya think we laugh at you and your puss truck? Yes we do....

how is the stock converter any heavier than the stock converter?

What the?

What the?

Geez guys....

ONE Lightning guy outruns ONE SyTy... and posts about it....

SO WHAT?

Geez- LOOK at that thread over there... Not a whole lot of TRASH talk... yes... there are a few... BUT some ARE RESPECTFUL...

Other lightning drivers even inform him of the POSSIBILITIES of a SyTy run-in...

When I came over here... WOW!!! Lotsa non-believers and CRAPS-LINGING.

I was hoping to swap stories, bs, learn a little maybe... oh well...

what a WASTE....

Hey Lightningdammit...look at the title of the tread...What moron would title it that. :banghead: Like I said before i don't go to L boards and post about all the L's I have destroyed...and its fairly routine actually. ::hang:: Not saying L's are slow, either can beat the other with $$$---I just dought all the L's I have murdered on the street go and post about how they got killed my my sy either...your right, a stupid thread, by a stupid L owner...what else is new?

I'm not trying to be a prick or anything, but either that Ty had major problems, or he wasn't racing...

He didnt get me out of the hole..I have a JDM chip..JDM Cone and Sals Fast air.

I find it hard to believe that anything close to stock would put 5 lengths on a decent SyTy in 2 blocks, and why didn't the Ty get him out of the hole?

Maybe it was a typo but he started the thread by saying he smoked a Typhoon then later said he beat the Sy badly.

I think everyone will admit if you dump enough money into your vehicle you could beat anything. Funny thing is those "L" owners say the Sy/Ty wasn't anything even when it first came out. Our stock numbers ALWAYS beat the "L"s stock numbers.

I saw a guy at a car show I was at. I was checking out his "L" because I like nice vehicles no matter what manufacturer it is. He was checking out my Syclone. He asked what it runs and what I had done to it... I told him the little things I have done and said it runs around 13. He said it took $14,000 to get his truck to run 13. I said that's what I paid for my truck including my mods.

We talked for a while and had a good time. It didn't matter who's truck was faster...

although I know mine was  (just Kidding)

I was reading Motor Trend or Car and Driver like last month and on the last page it has the L as the fastest production truck :( Did they forget about the Sy? Does anyone have that issue or seen what I am talking about? Also when those magazines did the tests on our trucks do they launch them or just go from the brake to the gas?

I hear ya man but look at it this way...I love the fact that knowone knows shit about these trucks. People think they are slow or a POS. L owers think they rule the road with there mass produced L's that I see 3 or 4 of every day. Let them have no clue, let them think they rule, then when one wants to lay some money down on the table, you make a fool out of him. I personally like the mystery and misconceptions of our sytys...its to our advantage.

Maybe they meant STILL in production. And that's only until that new Dodge comes out.
