METH HEAD
Me and my wife went on a very nice little get away trip last weekend up in the Mountains. Were already at 6,000ft. elev. in Colorado Springs. On the second day of our trip we proceeded to the mountains all the way up in the 9-100ft. range. We went to a place called Winter park which is at the base of a mountain cluster that you have to drive up to get there. On the way up, it was about a 30 minute drive and the tranny temps were holding steady at a squishy warm 248*. I was a nervous wreck the whole time, kinda makes me think I shouldve never hooked the damn thing up. 5 minutes of the downhill slide were nice, brought my temps down to 180*. So moving right along, the truck felt sluggish as a beat up truck with four flat tires. You could definately feel the altitude choking the crap out of it. The BOV sounded waaay different. Instead of a long soothing ppsssssssshhhhhh!!!!!! it was reduced to gay wet fart sound psstt! I was pleased to see that my brakes held up well the entire time as they are all new. Next thing I noticed is htat even though we drove on paved roads, the back of my truck was constantly caked with dirt. Roads seemed clean to me but I guess looks can be decieving. Last thing I took note of was that not a lot of people looked like htey had ever seen a SYTY before and underestimated the fact that a POS Blazer could pass em like they were standing still on the highway.
