toss core support?

Re: toss core support?

If you want a fresh start and less in weight, go to certifit or any other cheap after market body part supplier and pick up a 91-93 s10 core support (or jimmy). When we weighed the after market one next to the certifit one it was a 10 lbs weight savings and you keep all your stock grill mounts, headlight mounts and all other connection points and so on, plus they are only 30 dollars or so. They fit well so that is not an issue and this way you get to start over and save a few lbs at the same time.

This support only weights maybe 2-3 pounds. I will put it on a scale tommorrow to see what it weighs. i was going to use it for my set up but my a2a setup would not allow me to use it so I had to use the stock support.

Mine is between 2-3 lbs. I don't have a precision scale to weight it. How much does the stock support weight? I want to weight my original, but its packed into a corner and I have had time to move everything.

Any pics of these installed on a truck?? I'm also curious about using an A2A and the interference.

Actually, no offense to ANYONE, but its a little flimsy looking for my taste. I don't see hundreds of dollars there you know? Id rather build mine on my own. I plan on using 16 gauge steel, having about 20' x 4" and having 1 of the 4" bent to a 90* and making it out of that. I really need to be able to weld at will with this thing and I unfortunately am incapable of welding aluminum.

Actually this support is very strong. It may look a little weak but i promise you it is not by any means. It is a very well made peice.

What ever I want really. Plus, I would be needing to drill several holes for thing like mounting the A2A, alky pump, horn, radiator, various grounds, e-fan relays, and most important, my hood pins. I just don't see any room on that thing. Sorry if I offended anyone.
