Transfer case may be busted

Re: Transfer case may be busted

I just got my case all put together. Everything went right in with no need to force anything. After I have it all done I spin the prop shaft flange to find out it is a little hard to turn. I'm not sure if it needs to be driven for it to loosen itself up or maybe I busted a bearing. When I put the oil seal in where the prop shaft flange goes, I used the flange to press it in. I think I may have bottomed out and hit the center of the bearing in the case causing it to seize up.

Disregard that...Turn out it was the rubber spacer on the output shaft rubbing the housing. So I just slid it down and spins freely now.

I bolted the case back in the truck, took it for a ride and my transfer case problems are gone :D
