I am seeing 1.62 60 ft on sumitomo street tires, leave at 3400 rpm 4psi. It has taken some suspension tuning but I also know a 1.55 is there on street tires.

Thats good for those sumitomos. I assume 315's on the back and 275's on the front? I know when i went from the sumitomos to the bfg's i have now i noticed a big difference even with the v6.

I understand peer pressure I am dieing to get mine to the track, but i dont have the cash to fix something major and still bring it to Nats. I am determined to drive it down there this year, so ill blow it up in september :tup: probably not though it is super strong at only 7lbs (funny how these motors just dont need a ton of boost to make tons of power), the tune is good and still safe, and it has all the good parts in it.

Im feeling left out, since everyone else has two turbos and I only have one

Agh this thread just makes me want to take it to the track even more though :squint: I had it out last night at a local cruise and stood on it a little leaving the track in that nice cool evening air (in my head = dammit ok shut up now or you'll be at the track tonight!)

Blown mine up twice both times at track, I think this time i will enjoy more street driving before it sees the track.

I don't think it was a TRACK fault though, just the track brings out the weak links faster.

Last motor had 250 miles on it, hopefully this one goes a bit longer. On that note I did just fire up the new motor for the first time about an hr ago. Time to go finish it up so I can drive it.

I don't think it was a TRACK fault though, just the track brings out the weak links faster.

Yup every time my 4.3 lifted the head gaskets it was at the track. Im to the point now that I enjoy the street driving and cruising around a lot more than beating on the truck at the track and having it sit broke while im waiting for money to fix it again. At the same time though i really wanna see what all my work has accomplished...

i can definatley relatei have just over 2300 miles on it this season and i am loving life:tup:i realize a boost controller will be able to bring the boost in slower but only after gate pressue(10psi)which is where i really want to keep it,after having my 1K+ hp mustang i think it would feel slow to me with anything less:rolllus it hooks up really well on the street in this trim,which is obviously where it spends 99% of its time,also i think a set of dr's would solve all my traction issues at the track,but that isnt in the budget right now,just spent $1500 on tires for my dually:rant:

i will try to make the nats,however i leave on vaction the week before so that may not be in the budget either:tdown:

if he does make it, how strict is BG going to be on tech? Will Dan just make one pass and be kicked out?

Wow, that could be a easy 9 second Ty with some weight reduction and good tires. Looking forward to seeing some pictures and or vids!

pretty sure tech will be a breeze for him.
