I am loving those rear panels.

Thanks, my girlfriend Vanessa (interior design student) made the design and Wally of Wally's upholstery did a great job putting an idea to reality.

Thanks again could not be happier with how it turned out. Hope to get the seats in, and the dash and center-council in and done this weekend. Then the interior will be done and on to the go fast stuff

Some cool ideas you got there. Whats going where the stock A/C controls where? And whats going where the stock stereo goes. Those 2nd Gen A/C controls easy to incorporate?

I'm anxious to see how that grill looks with everything all together. Kinda give it the Denali look.

I know someone is gonna say it so it may as well be me... you sure those lower control arms are gonna be strong enough? Didn't I read earlier that they are alum? I hope they are one strong grade of alum..

Thanks, we are putting in the extra, boost gauge, knock sensor, air fuel ratio, and IAT gauge. Where the stock stereo goes we are installing a GPS unit out of an 07 Vette. The 2nd gen controls were pretty easy since they fit in the opening, all that was needed was to notch the back of the dash for wiring and ,make a couple brackets. No really hard at all.

Thanks I really like the grill and my dad did a great job on it. Should look sweet all together and the emblem on it.

The aluminum arms are on the back burner right now. and these do have a very thick wall and lot of bracing underneath. And no worries taking a second look never hurt anything. They are being tested on my xtreme as soon as it is back together. :( to make sure. I also have a set of rpm arms sitting here just in case.

Re: TTTyphoon

Didn't know they had a knock gauge for the LS motors???
(Maybe you're not using the stock ECU...?)

If you are using a stock style ECU, you should look into one of these:

http://www.plxdevices.com/products/dm200obd/

Could build a face to match your overlay, and dispaly any ECU parameter you want.

Just thunkin' out loud...

thats a good idea on the gauge, hmmmmm you have been helpful at me buying stuff lately :rotf: . And no it is a stand alone ecu. I misspoke it is timing gauge, since it has a boost controller to detune it to run 92 octane. Basically let the driver know that everything is running right and not missing. Sorry if it does not make sense I have all my finals this week and projects due as well. My mind id fried. :( But thanks for the gauge I am going to look into it.

who made the control arms ??

A local shop a friend of mine owns named Primo Performance. When we tested the arms before powdercoating the angles were perfect. They came out great just need to test them.. only problem the test vehicle looks like this

:(

but that should fly together fairly quick once the ty is shipped out.

Let us know how you are going to fix the early sunbird tach, that cluster is from a 4 cylinder...

I think I saw a web page on fixing it somewhere...

yup all that is built into the harness, all that was added was a resistor to the signal wire. Same would be needed for the ty cluster in my application since I am going v8. Now I just need to find more info on the 160 mph conversion since 120 just will not do.

Well it has been running for last 5 years very well but the used 4l60e was on its last leg.

Now it is getting a full out rebuild (at the same time as the ty project  ), Anyway coil over front suspension, ls1 brakes, 8.5 rear with disks and eaton posi unit. Put the small first gen booster on it with disk/ disk prop valve. ( no abs already). Friend of mine and I are using our half ton lowering leafs to ditch my zq8 leaves and 1 inch blocks.

The motor is now getting a full rebuild, lt4 cam, aluminum heads(ported and polished) 30 lbs injectors. Just a motor build for now, Have a remote turbo set up waiting to go on, but will wait till my other 5 million projects are completed. So it will have a set of 1 5/8 primarys and 2.5" collectors and will run true duals. The motor will be backed by a built 4160e with a 2000 stall and a rebuilt ty transfer case. Up graded prop shaft and a rebuilt ty front diff. Figured since I have the parts might as well use them. Then you can see the new color choice on the fire wall. It is Ralley Green from a 68 Camaro. And also now have the zr1's on it not sure if they will stay. Oh and the interior is being upgraded from the ty seats to 6 way power bravada seats.

Thats the plan for now, Dig is going to do the tunning on it and then I am sure the turbo will go on soon after :rotf:

I don't think I can do much with it the way it is... a motor is usually a prerequisite for tuning. ;)

If you did turbos, you'd just have to tub it....

*EDIT* For some reason, I have it stuck in my head that it's 2wd.... despite the fact that it says 4wd in your sig.

:rotf: We're working on it here. But yeah most people believe it is 2wd as well..It did start as a NAPA delivery truck in Fergus Falls 2.2 5 speed 2wd. But most never understood the launch I could get on little 8 inch trans am wheels ;) .

But yeah ty is getting out of the garage soon and then the xtreme should fly back together. . On a side note though my white ty has taken 2500 miles of beating over the last month with out a hick up which is good since I need my AWD fix.
