Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

Haven't updated this Thread in a while. I've been trying to get my new Heads/cam, A2A setup ready for the Track. Big thanks to Rob (Wyosyclone) for helping me Tune! We are pretty close to being done with the Tune, just want to make sure its 11 second worthy before I go to the Track.

I'm in the Process of removing my Front + Rear sway bars to get Coated and my Traction bars. Will be posting some Vids soon of this Beast.

Had the Sway bars and Traction bars coated, to match my other Red items. Can't wait to see how it launches with the Traction bars. Track time very soon!

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

Forgot to upload pics of the Traction bars and Sportmachines Rear Afco adjustable shocks. The Traction bars alone really helped a ton making the truck launch straight and controllable.

The Rear Afco shocks are really worth the $! It feels like a newer sports car. Stiff, but smooth. I highly recommend these for all lowered Trucks! Big props to Sportmachines!

Have more plans for the Ty this winter, so keep on the look out!

Can't wait till I can work on my Sy again, Sean... would be nice to see it as fast as your Ty ;)

It sure leaves nice with that rear shock/traction bar setup.

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

my thought is get the slow boost build up issue resolved and leave the line at 12-15 lb boost and it will be a
killer !!! low 11's no prob !!

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

Been a while since I've updated this thread. As most of you know, I ran a new PB of 11.22 @121 with a 1.55 60'. Very happy with the results after the Heads/cam swap and A2A along with the Suspension mods. Again, thanks again to Rob for helping me Tune.

This is the Last month to drive the Ty before winter storage and Mods. I'll be installing Intrepid Dual fans, Complete AC Delete, Exhaust wrap, New Turbo blanket, Possibly reroute the A2A piping and new Turbo.

The Lope calmed down a bit after the Tune. Still sounds good, but in the Video it was Rich. Have about the same MPG as stock heads/cam.

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

I used Stock Length hardened pushrods from Hood. I even used a pushrod length checker just to make sure and Stock was fine for me with a decent mark on the Valve stem from the Rocker.

You'll love that CAM as you saw what it did for my Truck on Non Ported Vortecs! Keep us updated Randy! Seems like a couple more Trucks will be getting a Steve Morris Cam.

That is kind of what I was thinking about the pushrod lengths, but I am going to check mine as well. I am going to be re-using my Comp 850 lifters as well. Thanks for the response.

Dual Dodge Intrepid fans with RPM Aluminum fan shrouds. More pics shortly of the Complete AC Delete. Stay tuned.
