Does anyone have any pics of this? I don't want to notch too much and couldn't find anything in Search that stated exactly what to do. I did mine a little bit but they still rub.

Thanks in advance,

buying the OEM rims is not an option as I already have the aftermarket GS rims. I don't think I went deep enough!

rather than notching the arms i had 1/8th inch metal added to the steering stops. just me but it seemed safer than cutting into the arms.

yes the turning radius is affected a bit but not an inconveience.

Or just buy OEM GS rims. :p (whistles quietly to himself)

I bought mine from AFS (6 years ago) No notching or axle cutting. Did
I just happen to buy the right offset? 17X9.5 / 275-40 fronts.

I have yet to notch mine. I know they rub so I just try to keep it in mind and not turn to full lock. One more thing on my 'to do' list...

Just don't cut them off like you did the center caps :-?

Mine rub pretty good. I have the 9.5" (275/40 Drag Radials) with the correct offset. It's almost as if the wheel wants to ride over the A arm. The inside of the rim is also marked/scratched up. There is considerable friction created, enough to stop my Syclone when making a slow turn, (2-3mph).

Not everybody buys the correct offset. I have seen some trucks
that the tire is actually in a little and they are usually the ones
that are cutting.

Thanks Ed for the proper term. As of now I will send my posts to you
to proof first.

Tim,

Thanks for the backstab, hahahahah, I'll never live that one down. I was in a desperate situation and my concern for those caps was extremely limited by that time. Doesn't help that it was like 100 degrees out either. I did end up saving one. It's now hanging up in my garage.

Vince, I am going to stop at my house in a little bit. I will measure
from the *sidewall* to the brake rotor and give you that dimension.
It has been so long I do not remember what i ordered.

Shouldn't a 38mm offset be the same regardless of wheel manufacturers? What other offset is there?
You bought the wrong rims.Should have gotten 17 x 9.5" +56mm fronts and 17 x 11" +50mm rears
