Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?
I drove mine today for the first time! When I bought it, it was literally -20deg, and needed a little work. The battery was out, and it needed a couple little things. I got it running a couple weeks ago, but haven't had time to drive it. Well, today I got to take it down the road, it seems to drive pretty good. The George Blake trans is a neck snapper on the part throttle 1-2 shift. Can't wait to see how it does on some WOT passes at the drag strip. I don't know what converter is in it, but it's definately not stock. Feels like a 2800 or 3000 stall. It's got some steering slop for sure, but I have a ZQ8 box, and a Waller steering shaft waiting here for it. I think I put about 15 miles on it or so. Feels good to drive one of these again!
And the funny thing is, I wasn't going to take it out today. I had to pull the engine out of this Typhoon thats at my house, so I went to get my friends cherry picker. Well, it didn't fit in the back of my Jeep, so I figure now is as good of a time as any to test out the Sy. Threw the cherry picker in the back of the Sy and off I went...
