Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

I drove mine today for the first time! When I bought it, it was literally -20deg, and needed a little work. The battery was out, and it needed a couple little things. I got it running a couple weeks ago, but haven't had time to drive it. Well, today I got to take it down the road, it seems to drive pretty good. The George Blake trans is a neck snapper on the part throttle 1-2 shift. Can't wait to see how it does on some WOT passes at the drag strip. I don't know what converter is in it, but it's definately not stock. Feels like a 2800 or 3000 stall. It's got some steering slop for sure, but I have a ZQ8 box, and a Waller steering shaft waiting here for it. I think I put about 15 miles on it or so. Feels good to drive one of these again!

And the funny thing is, I wasn't going to take it out today. I had to pull the engine out of this Typhoon thats at my house, so I went to get my friends cherry picker. Well, it didn't fit in the back of my Jeep, so I figure now is as good of a time as any to test out the Sy. Threw the cherry picker in the back of the Sy and off I went...

Removed old shot biltstiens shocks and installed better kyb's. Adjusted my battlebars some more and unbolted the bed, tail light harness, fill kneck and all associated grounds... Tomorrow i'll remove the tailgate and find some people to help lift and move the bed so I can install a new walbro and replace my feed line with braided an line.

I cursed at mine today...:rant::rant:

It stumbled a few times during a 40 mile trip, then wouldn't build boost past 7-8 pounds. "Search" is my new best friend, but be ready to field questions soon. :cool:

You know that love/hate thing? Yeah, today = hate. One of those days when you start thinking how nice an SRT8 or G8 would be...

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

Didn't actually -do- anything to the Sy but went out to my back road that I use for testing and actually marked off 1000' and 1320'.

Well I have been busy, Truck has been on jack stands for 2 1/2 years.
Friday woke up early and started wrenching again, Results:
Started up truck and set timing by noon and got off of jack stands by 2:30pm, got inspected at 3:00pm
Saturday went see trans guy, he wanted to check for leaks and set tv cable (need to get new fittings for side of trans) then went to car show.
Sunday went to another car show. and fixed my switch for the inter cooler pump, still need to get all the air out of the system.
