Learning is half the battle... If I had known what I learned from having one of these trucks I would have never bought one! :rotf: I always learn things the hard way....

I have A LOT of help and plenty of time and I'm well aware of what's ahead of me thanks to Harmon and the rest of you. I'm just going to take it one step at a time:lol: I am excited about it though.

Started my very long learning process.......pulled battery, alternator, fan/shroud, water pump pulley (that was interesting), intake, tb....... takes forever when you are trying to figure it all out:tup:

Mandi,

The plan is to do a complete rebuild from the ground up, frame and all. Harmon will be helping me but I'm going to do the work. Wasn't really wanting to do a rebuild thread since I pretty much have no idea what I'm doing lol

I started it... Let it idle for about 20 min, shut it off and gave it a kiss goodnight...

Oh... I also spanked her tail light! (lol)

Ya know, that kind of a thread would likely be of more help than you think.

Started it up, drove outside, idled for a bit, backed it back in. Couple more months to go.

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

Went out to the garage. Wiped a tear from my eye as I looked at my Sy. and remembered the warm weather of days gone by. Cursed Mother Nature. Went back inside and slammed the door...

Picked up my parts from the Powder Coater. The passenger side is all done. These arms are for the drivers side and the front suspension will have all new Moog parts with ES bushings + Edelbrock sleeves. The front end should feel pretty good when I'm done. I also added the ZQ8 steering box and Jeep steering shaft last year along with the new steering shaft bushings. Just need to get the cross over and drivers side manifold ceramic coated and I'll be done with the front end and then onto replacing the valve seals and ready for summer. Dave P. thanks for all the info on the valve seal replacement.

Started it, let it run for a little while, tucked it back under the covers and then put it back to sleep for a few more weeks. Spring time is almost here........
