Getting old motor/tranny prepped to come out. Took out front diff, prop shaft, drive shaft and some transfer case bolts. Should be ready to come out tomorrow.

Had kevlar clutches put in the tranny, reinstalled it to the Bowtie block and marked/removed all the wiring and gauges from the Lap 1 Ty for transplant into the Aspen (what a job)!

Pulled motor out again finally and dropped off to machine shop only 1500 miles or less since last rebuild, looks like number 2 and 3 mains were gone, all rods and mains 1 and 4 were good.

4 possible reasons, i suspect the last one though

clearances setup wrong
maincap walk
detonation
lack of oil, starvation (been here done it 3 times)

Of course could be a combination of all of them, but I HIGHLY suggest an accusump for guys going fast. $300 or so to setup is a lot cheaper than new motors. Went through 2 sets of mains, crank work, bearings, etc. Installed an accusump and problem is gone last time I had motor apart it looked pure sexy inside.

Cleaned up the exterior of "Mable". Clayed the exterior... *damn*.... it was so fkking dirty. Then I did a scratch and swirl remover, during this I had to wash the pad out after each section. SERIOUSLY... what did they previously clean the car with... dirt? Then a nano-polish, and finally a good waxing.

Clean... It's how I like it.

Removed the racing seats, race harness and alky control system from the Ty.

Now I am on to the Aspen to make final preparation for the power plant install on Monday (hoorah).

Installed the hood prop rod elimination kit I got awhile back. This thing installed with no issues and looks great! I went with the grip-serts on the hood so that I could easily take the top brackets on and off, if needed.

Remember when I wrote earlier I drove it to work?

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

This looks too familiar...

Last night my woman asked if the truck was broke again because I hadn't been driving it...No...It doesn't have any AC and it's been hot and humid as shit out. So today I drove it for the simple fact that I wanted her to know it wasn't broken.

So then also this salesman at work is f*cking cursed....Last week he sold a car to a new customer...next day, the customers house burnt down...then last night he was supposed to have a customer coming in that called and said he and his sister were just in a car wreck...the sister died this morning...ANOTHER one of his customers that he sold a 2nd unit to last week, their daughter was injured in that stage collapse in Indy last weekend.

So I tell him today he's cursed and to stay away from me. Told him don't touch me, don't look at my truck, don't do anything because something bad will happen. We're walking out after locking up and the bastard slaps me on the shoulder and says "See ya tomorrow!". 45 seconds later as I am pulling out onto Murfreesboro Road, the truck dies.

Connected the downpipe to the exhaust, had to cut it to install the turbo a few months back (or I should say berzerker had to cut it, he did all the work installing my turbo  ). Also relocated my wideband o2 bung and rewired the gauge to try and fix its sporadic readings, didn't work, think I need a new sensor.

Yesterday I bled the brakes, and worked on some odds and ends polishing wince the wife was out all day. Have to put the new brake light switch in today, put some gas in her, and then this thing is ready for a road test :)
