Agreed! That thing is just pure sex under there! I'm going to be doing some more body work on the Ty today, my goal is to have it done and complete for homecoming. Really don't have a whole lot left. :)

Found out last night that my heater core is now leaking... got a new one to go in tonight (I hope).

WTH is with this truck???... one area gets improved, another area decides it's feeling left out.

Last summer, started a Saturday adjusting the timing on the new dist. Moved the upper radiator hose out of the way for the timing light. Pushed it into the supercharger cog pully. Wore a hole. Drained coolant, put new hose on. Finished timing. Reconnected 'brown' wire under dash. Notice green leak. Drained coolant again. Changed heater core. Spent all day accomplishing one task.

One step forward...Two steps back.

Question on the L.E.D. dash light update. Are those capable of variable light output/dimmer capable. The light is much cleaner than OE incandescent bulbs. I do like the new look, but I find with night driving having bright dash light really screws with my night vision. I keep mine barely light to help me see out the windshield better. I do the same in all my vehicles. Unfortunately the aftermarket radio is bright as hell.

I am doing similar light conversions on the exterior lights for my 1940 Ford. I have found that flat white in the buckets/reflectors help light output over silver or chrome. Shiny silver stuff surprisingly helps very little. I have no pics to back it up though.

Ok, left to right.

3led for HVAC, 28led for cluster, 20led for autometer & glove box(may do 28 for glovebox if it needs more light) 8led for shifter, 15led courtesy (9led strait, 6led 360*)

This is the 28 in the autoM. I think the 20 looked about the same, color is different but it's reflecting off a silver face. I might order some red ones to try, but I'm trying to get away from colors and just have a nice bright/clean look.

Yanked all the exterior 'black' stuff off (wipers, handles, locks. antenna), and cleaned & scuffed for paint.
One more step closer to me STILL not being able to drive. :banghead:

Cleaned the Ty yesterday using Turtle Wax Black Box which a member here suggested and then washed it to get ready for show todat at College of Staten Island but it is going to be rained out. Rain date is next Sunday but my son has a football game so we are not going to make this one. That's okay, truck still looks awesome, I thought about it and figure it had not been cleaned since the last show in September but how dirty can it get sitting in the garage.

Entertained jeepruby for like a day and a half doin frame pads and motor mounts on my ty. And anybody who doesn't already know this job 100% sucks! Oh and threw some new oil cooler lines on new seals on the front axle......... and somehow survived the BP oil disaster that was under the truck! :rotf: So I wanna throw out a huge THANKS to Jeepruby for all of his help! (and your welcome for the reverse french manicure) :rotf:

Made a cold air heat shield & got it partially painted. Ran out of heat paint. Made a frame bracket so I can use SYCLONE#1531's engine torque strap on my supercharger setup. Started painting all the black exterior bits removed yesterday (handles, locks, antenna, wiper arms). Ran out of Trim Black paint also. Man it sucks not being able to drive.
