With the help of the wife, threw together a 8'X8' paint booth in the garage. Cut in intake and exhaust air filters and a exhaust fan. Then cleaned & prepped some interior parts for paint.

Replaced the dash, installed rear swaybar, took it off the jackstands and washed it. Exhaust gets built on Tuesday.

Passed DEQ!!!!

91 HC's with 220 allowed.
previous attempt was 400 HC's.

my recipe to success:
cap
rotor
plugs(.028" gap)
wires(taylor)
oil change
seafoam in oil
deleted EGR (more for vacuum sealing purposes, carbon fiber plate inbetween valve and manifold)
cleaned air filter
BG44K through one tank of gas
another oil change (after 200 miles)
retard timing ~4 degrees(just grabbed and turned)
unplugged intercooler pump

I initially thought it was the tiny magnaflow converter i have wasnt up to the task but she did just fine.

Re: What did you do to your SyTy today? (part 2)

Started it the other day for the first time in almost 5 years. A lot has happened since I pulled the motor. I plan on starting a thread to describe the journey once it is done.

I did do a creative battery "relocation" that I hope works out. Sectioned the battery tray and clearanced the inner fender to allow a full size battery to drop down a few inches. It encroaches a little on clearance but factory wheel/tire combination looks to have plenty of room. Just hoping my 17x9.5" ZR1's clear once I get tires.
