played with some plasti dip to try a new look but uummm....I dont like it much.
I think the white makes the stock wheel loos even smaller than what it already is

^ update on how much of a bitch/ease it is to get that shit off. May be a temporary "fix" until the wheels get sent out to be refinished.

If you have a heat gun then its really easy to remove, when hot the plasti dip gets flexible and peels off no problem

Wanted a new look so I Plasti Dipped my Chrome ZR1s black with a couple coats of Clear. Will be adding Red GMC center cap decals in a couple days. Will have pics of them on the Ty soon.

Drove #1190 from Portland, OR to Reno, NV. 585 miles. Tomorrow, 475 more miles to Vegas!! Thanks to Eric at TurboTweak!! The VeloSyTy chip's cruise mode really helps. I managed 19.7MPG on the first 275 miles. 85 of which were through the mountains. Probably would have been over 23MPG had i took a reading before the hills.

That was at -5% fuel, +2 degrees (roughly). then i set her to -12%(estimated, point count for fuel was 112, 122 previously) fuel and did 18.9MPG with even MOAR hills!! I was even in boost for about what felt like an hour.

All i know is the volvo fan is getting a workout... wired her up to run 100% and temp was creeping up close to 200 but with the A/C going. With it off, 190. Not bad for being close to boost most of the time.

Drove it to work for the first time in Oregon! Data logged and found that my baro compensation settings were perfect :) 4,000 feet to 300 feet in elevation and no changes needed!

drove the truck to a car hang out last light. bellmore LI. damn! in fourth gear the truck pulls like a beast @ 10psi from 3k to 4500rpm.

idle afr is rich at 12/13. cruse is around 13/14. im gonna lean out the idle and throw some more fuel at the cruse rpms.

Re: What did you do to your SyTy today? (part 2)

Went to Autozone for some water wetter and started getting a HORRIBLE squeaking noise half way there. Then once i got there, noise disappeared. OK....... Went home, let the truck "cool" down in the 731degrees of Vegas. Siphoned out some coolant several times, then fired her up to dilute the coolant mixture. Noticed my tensioner pulley just chilling. Not spinning. Picked up a new pulley and belt then swapped it in the Autozone parking lot. Silky smooth now... Gonna let her chill down again and re-dilute the coolant with more distilled water and water wetter. From the half gallon swap of coolant to distilled water, temp seemed to be cooler. Then again, Autozone is only 2 miles away.

Walked by it today. Bit my lip wanting to tear into it to get the intercooler installed. Promised my stepson a vehicle to drive while he is home on leave. He's driving his moms truck, she has my DD, so I gotta keep my truck drivable.

Changed the fuel filter, really needed it & really woke it up too..so much that I got on it from around 10mph or so, loud bang, & blew 1st & 2nd out of the transmission. Only has reverse & had to drive most of the way home backwards. Almost made it until the 2 lane road, so I parked it, walked home & got the car trailer. I guess I know what my winter project will be.

Worked on it today - Fired up the truck on the FAST XFI baby!! First damn crank on a Starter program and it fired right up.

Just need to finish a couple minor things like the oil pressure sensor wiring and the DRAC / VSS wiring and I'm good to go to start tuning. Felt good to hear it turnover on the first shot.
