This past weekend i installed my new updated turbotweak chip and finally hooked up the scanmaster and changed out the T-stat to a 160. I thin had to smack the I/C pump to get it to run again. I gues not driving it for months at a time bothers it.

Installed a Relay for the purple starter wire, Reinstalled steering column, Relocated the battery to the bed, and started her up! Finally making some progress after the theft. Hoping to start tuning and driving again before the end of the month.

I'm in the same boat. You buying new cladding or remaking?

im sanding the original now
plastic welding/bonding the tabs all back together.

i would do fiberglass or anything else in a minute.

im using j-nuts to put it all back together and my friend suggested using
welting around it all.

where would you get that much welting?

No clue for welting. Why not fibreglass? That was my plan and its rock solid. Little messier but worked well.

i was meaning going to all fiberglass not just to repair the broken stuff
i may try that to fix mine, or liquid nails /body epoxy etc

Finally had the time off work to dig into the rear axle shaft seals and bearings. The infamous pinion locker bolt almost claimed another victim, though. LOL It wouldn't loosen up and it started rounding on me, so it looked like it was gonna be a long night. Ended up having one of the guys at the craft shop on post take a look at it and he showed me a little trick. He took a punch with a wide, flat working end and gave the other end a few hard smacks with a hammer. It flattened the head of the locker bolt out and mushroomed it out some. Then took a socket and tapped it on the bolt with the hammer. Attached the ratchet and slowly applied force until the bolt finally decided to come out. :woot: Aside from the time to figure that one out, it took me just under two hours from start to finish. A lot easier than I was anticipating and no more leaky axle seal.

Started and drove it. For fkking reals. Around the block even.

I started out pretty simple... build up a set of L35 heads to install. 1 month later I did:

Rebuilt L35s (stainless valves 1.94/1.60), comp beehive springs, ARP 7/16 studs)
New 850 lifters
New hardened pushrods
WildPhils 412 cam
Full roller rockers (1.5)
New ProGear timing chain
Braided turbo coolant lines
Rebuilt stock injectors
All new rubber hoses (vac/coolant)
New billet distributor
New MSD coil
New power steering pump, pulley and hoses
Ditched AC compressor and did Vasplieon's tensioner setup.
Stripped and repainted upper and lower intakes (to include painting lettering)
New 2" cowl hood.
Roof rack delete.

1 month later... I'm done. Shit got really frustrating, but I'm glad it's done. Now to get it painted.
