What happend to my motor?

Last year the ty was breaking up around 18psi. I changed the plugs and installed a msd 6al. The car did the same thing but not all the time. The next piece i installed was the msd coil and again the same result. Next i tried the msd distributor, conrad cap and rotor and new atr wires. I set the timing to 0 with the plug disconnected and took it for a spin. Instantly i felt a power difference. I drove it like this for 1 mile or so and slowly brought it into boost. As soon as it hit 16psi soemthing blew or broke and it sounded like marbles in the motor along with tons of blue smoke pouring out from the engine bay area. I tried to locate where the smoke was coming from today. It looked like it was from behind the heads but i didn't want to keep it going although the marble sound was not present. When this happend the supra was also down. The supra consumed all of my time until recently when she was finally finished. So i just did a compression test.

cylinder

1 = 5psi
3 = 120psi
5 = 5psi
2 = 150psi
4 = 150psi
6 = 150psi

When 1 and 5 are tested you don't hear any strain on the motor as if compression was being made. It almost sounds like the rod isn't connected. All of the plugs look good too wich i thought was weird. I have a new fully built motor almost ready to drop in soon but just thought i would give a look at the old one anyway. Just a side note before the supra motor blew it broke up at high boost as well. This seems to have reacted the same way. Any idea's? Is it totally blown or?????

just my opinion...
MSD stuff can mask a basic problem... but not correct it
It sounds like a lean or massive knock problem that got outta hand and you need rings
on 1 and 5. The knock sensor system and the amount of advance pulled is set up for
the stock boost etc. Im thinking dirty injectors or you have run out of room with your
fuel system. It could also be valves but id find out what is the cause.
"Burnt Pancake Flour" looking plugs are ideal on a naturaly asperated engine...
or a factory turbo that hardly gets into it .. but a turbo engine needs a touch more.. and running 18psi might require even more fuel

hope this helps

We were running methanol and it's not on stock fuel so i am not so sure it was a lean condition. I don't have an egt gauge or wideband in the truck unfortunatly but this time around it will have it all but i just don't think fuel was an issue at 16psi wich is all i got it up to. The plugs are nice and black and she has been ran much harder than this before.

SyTy's have a ton of head bolts and will blow the stock bottom end before lifting a head usually...

If you drain the oil does coolant come out first or is there any foamy stuff in the oil? That would indicate a BHG, but I doubt that is what happened.

Keep us posted.

I have seen 4.3's that have blowed head gaskets and never leak water at all. It is possible to have also cracked the head on the odd side. Piont is you will just have to pull it a tare it down to see for sure

head gasket is gonne. nr 1 is next to nr 3 cyl. so that makes sense. other than that could be burned valves or broken pushrods but i dont think so
