the 1st pic (post 6) is a single piston 2.5" bore with 1.04" rotor

the 2nd pic (post 14) are dual pistons with 1.04" rotor

to me either one is very tempting over my stock crap.

did either of you have to change out your stock brake lines?

the site also gives you a 3rd part number for a kit option

any pics of them installed?

Those are for the LS1 fronts, I forget what the part number is for the stock ones which I have on right now. I need to do the LS1 fronts so I can use those. They work amazingly well. They are loud, but grip like crazy.

Stock sized brakes are less than desirable regardless of what calipers and pads you run.. For a little bit more money you could have thick 12" rotors and two piston aluminum pbr calipers on the front.. Go to the junk yard and steal the front brakes from any 98-02 f body, get Renz's line and bracket kit, and call it super awesome brakes that fit under stock wheels...

Another benift of this system is you can run some nice ceramic pads that will be quite and not dust much and still get awsome braking..:2cents:

See ya,

I got to agree with Z Ski on this one.... for the money and performance, LS1 is the way to go.

I got all 4 corners from a 2000 firebird with drilled rotors for $200. Pick up the sweet Renzfab adapter kit for front and rear and you're good to go. The Renzfab front kit came with really nice stainless steel braided lines. I opted for new longer rear parking cables too.

These are beefy......

See ya,

x2 LS1 brakes saved my truck yesterday when a lady swerved into my lane. I dont think the stock brakes with abs would have stopped me in time.
