It definately walks the line of SyTyedness.
Badass truck non the less.

Powerplant?
Oddly I hope its V6, as that would help it keep the Syty-edness.

I see the non syclone arguement commin a mile away. That has to be one of the stupidest arguements EVER.

The truck still have a v6, not that is matters.

It is as much of a syclone as Mike Lee's twin turbo RWD truck, or Tom Ferrick, or McCoy old syclone.

Everyone seems to love those people's trucks and swing off a set of nuts but when all said and done thety are all syty's just like the one pictured above..

If you want to have that stupid non syty arguement then why buy a syty at all and modify it? I mean a syclone did not come from the factory with 3" heater hose did it? It didnt come with a TH400 did it? or a powerglide?

But for those who know anything about racing you would know you need stout parts to build somethign that will hold together.

For many years there were no fast syty's. I am sorry but I do not consider high 10's fast. Specially not for a vehicle that has been around for over a decade. Now we are seeing more and more fast trucks comming out of the woodwork, and i love it!

Good work on the truck, cna't wait to see it move out under its own power!

Thats a nice drag truck, if thats what you're into. I myself, am more impressed with something streetable, driveable, and quick. Was that a Syclone vin'ed truck? Or was this just an S-15 with Syclone cladding and a motor added? Not that it makes any difference.....

i do not think its mike callahan's and its not marty's.

this thing has been in development for at least three years now. started life as a normal syclone, and is anything but normal now.

unless i am mistaken, it has a full tube chassis front to back. for what its built to do, i doubt there are any compromises in the truck at all.

as previously stated, cannot wait to see this thing run.

TYRODD

My ass. Look at it.
Where are all the tubbed typhoons at? :D

That truck is friggen' gnarly! ::thumbsup::

Chad you are correct - it's not mine.

The owner of the truck is Jason Leach. He's no longer on the list or the BB. He's doing his own thing. He currently own a 91 (yes) Typhoon, 93 AWD billet motor, hartman trans Typhoon and this BAD ASS 2wd syclone. I don't thing anything was spared when building this truck. AS a matter of fact i know not one penny was spared on this build.

I am personally in awe with it's contruction and as far as chassis builder goes i don't think he could have picked a better shop to do the work. If you are interested in looking at the build pics before i take them down next week. go here:

even if you don't like the fact that it's 2wd drive you will be more then impressed by the quality of it's construction and the knowledge that went into building a truck like this.

btw - it's a real syclone and he has the vin to prove it. just like RPM's ty is a real typhoon. just in 2wd form.
