Its a bone stock truck. If u drive the truck and floor it the boost shoots up to 15 psi. If u brake torque it it stays in the negative. Not sure if the cat is hollow but the exhaust is broke off after the cat.
So you are asking by having a better flowing exhaust IE, hollow cat & the exhaust broke off after the cat (= better flowing) will get less boost? Then no, that will create better/quicker spooling turbo, could cause over boosting, but not under boosting.
It would get into boost quicker & easier,, if you had just a dump pipe from the turbo, no back pressure.
OG wires were Packard wires? Delco? I have them in a box, no turbo written on plug wires.
