Ok, this post really got me trippin' when I first read it. Got me thinking if someone was really serious about trashing a Ty by rippin' off the cladding and throwing them away, which is what helps set us apart from the thousands of Jimmy's and Blazers. I guess it's your deal though, although like it has been said by previous posters, most won't agree with your choice in direction and I can say I am one of them. To each his own though. Good luck on your teardown and reconstruction...

i think he really misunderstands the difference between blazer and typhoon. once you take away the cladding, turbo, and transfer case, it's simply another blazer. thats why i wonder why pay 8k for a ty and then take all the things off that make it different and throw them all away.
then you just paid a REALLY high price for another blazer, do you get what i mean man?
even then you could have picked up a sshit house typhoon for 3-4k if you really wanted to be able to tell people honestly that it WAS a typhoon and build that. i dunno man just seems like throwing money away.

Well, only the cladding is gone, not the transfercase and turbo! Plus there are tons of lifted blazers an stuff, i just wanted somethin special. I didnt wanna start with too shitty of a truck, so i bought a pretty aight one to start with! just my thing, man.

well if you really want to make an offroad truck you don't honeslty want an all wheel drive transfer case, i mean it might be ok, but i think you will have problems busting axles and the transfer case itself. i dunno, i mean really to make a great off road truck, you should go with a straight axle conversion in front.
get it on some coils or even leafs in front and get some good lift to fit some big a$$ tires, you know boggers or somethin. but by that time you better go with a 9 inch ford in the rear or a dana 60 or something stronger than a weeny little 10 bolt these things have
