I read the other thread where Mike has come up with a design for LS1 that uses the stock e brake? If that is correct, this is a moot point. Get the guys what they asked for or send them their money back so they can get ready for Mike's kit. I know this is none of my business but I've done GP before. When you take money from a BUNCH of people, your PERSONAL projects go on the BACK BURNER. You get them their stuff and THEN work on personal stuff. If you don't have time for both, then you spend the TIME on the group's stuff. If you got in over your head, send the money back. The cable manufacturer will understand. If you ordered the stuff months ago and it hasn't come in and he's on vacation, he doesn't care anyway. After what happened to me(wheels, then the prop shaft incident), I tend to be a bit snippy about this crap. You gotta make it right one way or another. Refund money so they can use the Renz kit with stock cables or send them what they paid for ASAP.

If you have paypal, see if all the participants have paypal. You can use your credit card to refund their money if you spent the money and have no other way to refund it.

He has had 2000 bucks since March for the group purchases.
He cashed my check on 3/05/07, 21 weeks ago.
I could have put the e-brakes brackets on the truck last month when I was doing the LS1 brake mod.
Unfortunately when I did it, it was 90 degree in my garage cause I waited for the brackets that was promised ASAP several weeks when it was cooler and not have to wait for cables to be shipped from a vendor.
Today it hit 105 in my garage. I hope to hell that I dont have to take the axles off again to put the brackets on.
Add in the fact that he has been put on notice by the Admins that he has till next Friday to ship the brackets or be put in the dog house and you still want to send him money?

This guy has taken everyones money and has given them nothing but promises that the items will ship........ someday.

This guy has nearly $3000 in other peoples money that my guess is has already been spent.... $5 says this guy will be facing mail order fraud charges soon enough. :roll:


There is also a thread where Mikerenz is making some of these and won't be taking peoples money without sending them shit for almost 6 months like this guy here.

You'd have to be retarded to send hotrodv6 your money at this point.

Read this thread and then go to the link where he makes reference to Mike Renz is making a bracket kit (design is done) that uses the STOCK cables with the LS1 setup.

I've contacted someone on here that lives close to him to maybe go pay him a visit and let him know what's going on. I don't think he's getting on here enough to see the seriousness of the situation that this has developed into.

At this point you guys need to request your money back if he doesn't respond, file charges agaisnt him.
Stealing money from people across state lines is a Federal crime on top of Mail order fraud if he accepted even one payment thru the mail.

Federal crimes are serious especailly when you have a group of people all pressing charges against one criminal. (federal crime = no paroll if he gets jail time and they can garnish his wages and taxes to repay what he has stolen.)

retainer on a lawyer to deal with this case will cost this guy more than he was able to steal from the community and to prosecute will cost you nothing..

For what it is worth, I was over at Mike's house last week picking up some things that I had bought off of him and saw where he has been making the brackets. He also showed me some cables that he had received in the mail that had were assembled with the wrong ends.

I don't know Mike outside of a couple of conversations, but I don't think that he was here to intentionally take anyone for their money.

It seems to be a case of poorly executed good intentions.

I bought a Volvo fan kit off Mike 2 weekends ago. He brought one with him up here to DFW and met me 1/2 way across town to deliver. Sucks to hear about everyones' ebrake purchases, but my experience with him on buying a volvo fan kit was great.

well for the record i was in DFW area for my Sisters wedding, and the trip to MI was helping out a freind.


The brackets amd hardware will be boxed up and shipped out next week, i was told yesterday i will have the cables here in a week to 10 days.



Also reusing to stock cables wont work, and wrapping the cable around the arm on the f-body backing plate is cheesy and will put to much stress on the stock cables, and they will break. If it were that easy i wouldnt be messing around with getting new cables made. The place manufacturing the cables is an OEM supplier, and if they have a bunch of large OEM orders they get priority over outside stuff. These will be OEM quality cables also not some cheap junk.

I am truly sorry for dragging this out, and making everybody wait. I just took on way to many projects at one time.

SO it doesn't look like you will make the July 27 deadline.

Please post all of the tracking numbers for the GP orders by Friday July 27.

As noted you have a substantial amount of our members money in your hand (if not spent by now) and you have yet to deliver one product.

You have our attention now complete your GP as quickly as possible.
This has gone on way too long.

Those that used the USPS to mail you a check can file mail fraud charges since you accepted payment through the mail.
Credit Card companies can recall their payment based on the customers report of not receiving their goods.

He needs to talk to Jason to see if the restriction will be lifted. HRv6 will have to do that on his own.
He said 7-10 days many months ago. Looking back through the postings doesn't give a clear detail of what he did. Whether he modified JUST the cable fittings or the brackets themselves, it's not clear. Put them on right away or test fit with your cables and see if they will work....I was gonna try to help with cables but it doesn't really seem necessary with the new developements on the brackets for stock cables with LS1 setups. Good luck, guys.

If there is no response by end of day HotRodV6 is being placed in the doghouse and will be banned from using the classifieds until all of this mess is resolved to the buyers satisfaction.

All of his current transaction threads will be locked and any new ads will be removed.

The use of the classifieds here is a privilege and can be revoked if it is abused.
