Re: No Forward Gears!!!!

You should somehow find out before you spend your money man, it would be a nightmare to get another rebuilt 700 bolted on there only to slip in another 200 miles and have to go back, and time after time like a broken record. You should just grab a %100 genuine SyTy trans, get er installed, and go from there...

Re: No Forward Gears!!!!

There's a tag on the tranny that you can use to ID it. I don't remember what the tag is suppose to say at the moment. IIRC, one has LHM in it. Don't know if that's for a sy or ty though.

Edit: That threAd explains it better

Hmm...sounds like very risky business. What are you leaning towards doing?

Re: No Forward Gears!!!!

drives great now i just need to get rid of thoose damn solid motor mounts

Many people upgrade to solid mounts because they'll never need to be changed and they don't stretch like the stockers.

My guess if the solid motor mounts are that noticable, you other issue that are making for a rough running motor. My solid are barely noticable compare to the stock rubber ones (and I am pretty particular), many SyTy owner claim not not even notice a difference.

dont get rid of the old rear tires if you get new ones, someone will buy them, they have plenty of tread left.

As for that vibration, as i stated before, the front tires chirp a little when turning, im pretty sure that is a sign that points right to the Transfer case clutch. Drivetrain guys jump in and give your opinions on this issue please.
