Sy/Ty shop in Texas

I am looking for someone/shop to do some tuning on my truck. I live in the DFW area but willing to go Houston or San Antonio.
Thanks

Re: Sy/Ty shop in Texas

Unless you're running a stand alone aftermarket system like big stuff, there aren't any that I know of in or around the San Antonio area that can tune a stock ECU.

Corey plays with ECU's.

Code what?
Corey has a 4 wheel dyno? Might have to keep them in mind.

Yea, Bruce has an idea to do a dyno day there at next years SYTY meet. Maybe if we combine the total HP of all the trucks that attend we could make 1000HP. :horse:

Re: Sy/Ty shop in Texas

I know dyno tuning only gets you close, track tuning is preferred, but I'm down. Of course we'll need more than just a few trucks to show so the cost won't be so bad.

The AWD dyno shop is in Kileen/Temple...SWG performance.
I dont think Henderson Performance has an AWD dyno.

i talked to corey one day out at his shop and i really didnt get all that great of vibes from him about tuning on the stock ecu. now thats not to say that he wont do it but he i think he prefers to work on other stuff. he is a little high on prices for each pull as well on the dyno, so be ready for that.

why not just get with Eric rite out of houston, he is pretty knowledgeable and know how to tune but has no dyno. Eric sorry if im misrepresenting you on this one. 0966sy

Re: Sy/Ty shop in Texas

I'd be interested in meeting up

I'll be at the track around 6:30ish after work, I would welcome any and all SyTy'ers interested. Every 2nd Friday at SAR is truck night as well as test and tune. Currently I'm at 8psi and looking to max my current wastegate spring setup at 12psi. I just want to verify the fueling is ok, then I will swap my RPM wastegate for a precision one that has a base spring pressure of 15psi instead of the 6psi RPM's has. (Long story) I won't get in to the meth tune or advancing the timing just yet, but I think it's running pretty good. At 8psi it runs consistent 13.60's, so 12psi should drop that to a really low 13 or possibly a high 12. (Based on the ET difference from 6psi to 8psi)

So I guess I will be tuning my piece of ancient history, or at least trying to. :rotf:

oh man, my truck is so slow. i will be a spectator. got to go out there tomorrow to watch my boy and be support while he drives his Jr. Dragster. in the 1/8. 2nd run out he cut a .0167 light and made it in 11.54 at 56.83. i thought it was pretty cool.
