I'd rather use a 3.8 then a 4.3. Over all stronger and we know they can make more power when built the same.
So what was wrong with the Typhoon that you decided to kill it to make this one?
im sorry i didnt realize, i just assumed your meant gm rears in general, but what do you think the best gear is for the ty motor, 3.73?
his mullet didn't look right in a Typhoon
Got lots of room in there! Where you at in Cleveland? I'm over in Brooklyn off of 480.

Nice Morgan:lol:
Guess I missed that one
How bad was the wreck? Pics?
As Dave said below your post, If it is a stock Ty motor, Then I would go with the 3.08 gears.
so the 4.10s are pretty much not healthy to run with it then? what gear do you think would be good with vortecs and a mild/bigger cam?
The more torque you make the less gear you need. Turbo vehicles need to "Load" the engine and a tall gear un-loads the engine. A Tall gear 3:73 and up is for engines that make poor torqe and more HP.
Most turbo engines don't have any trouble making torque.
The recomended ratios above 3:23 with 26" tall tire would be perfect.
I run a Turbo Buick engine in my F-body and am going down in gear ratio from 3:50 to 3:25. I run a 9"Ford rear end in it with South Side Lift bars (No torque arm) and coil overs in the rear.
I had a 89 Camaro the same color as your bird.. Love the F-body's in that color. Looks fun!
A FMIC would be a great first mod from where you are.
Oh cool, not too far away. You ever hit any car shows in the area? I usually hit the one in Middleburg Hts on friday night at Southland. I'd like to check this thing out! :tup:im actually right where 480 becomes rt 10 in ridgeville
