Any comment?

Thanks:tup:

Sorry... It runs better. IE: wide band o2's don't jump around so much, idles smother, since cat was plugged WOT is a huge improvement, maybe runs a bit cooler, more accurately it doesn't heat up as much on a 1/4 mi pass. And it's a bit louder. Prolly hang a muffler on it soon.

Except for WOT these differences are small.

Now I need to get my truck to the track ASAP! I have primarily the same build.. I'm looking for mid to low 12's on 93 octane pump gas, no alky yet. I have the alky kit in my garage but that's for another day.

Don, Wasn't it a new 3" Cat that you put on ? If it went bad that quick I wondering about changing to a 3".

I had 3 inch cat go bad after 4 months. Chased the issue for a year because I never believed a new part would go bad so quickly... It was brand new with my PTE 60 kit.

IMO catless is the way to go. Get something to manage your boost control, ie blitz e.controller, greddy controller, and call it done. Some people say you need back pressure, others say you don't. My opinion is you don't cause that's the way I run it. One less thing for me to think about.

Congrats Don. Great trap speeds, that thing is making some great power... Its nice to see that you are happy with all that $$$ that you spent. Can we get some pics of the new motor and turbo?

Thanks,

How do you like the spec-rite converter? I've heard only but good things about them. I spoke to them a while back but yet to order. Good runs by the way.

Re: 11's INFO added

OK some answers...

The cat (3") was installed little more than 2 years ago when the Magaflow wouldn't pass smog by a local muf shop.

I went with the Spec Rite TC because a runner at Infineon cut more than 1/2 sec off his time with that one change alone. Also the price wasn't bad.

Here's a pic.

Re: 11's

Turbo is a custom build using a stock turbine with a clipped wheel housing is completely opened up with a JSM 3” DP. Compressor section is a 60-1.

Don, If you don't mind me asking, Who made the Turbo for You ? TIA

Hey Don,if you reclock that turbo and cut down a 90 degree radiator hose to fit,you would have a much nicer transition into the IC:
