2010 rotors are 14.8" (not 14") and would not work with the 4 caliper pistons on the '04-'07 CTS-V's. The 2010 CTS-V uses 6 caliper pistons and is much more expensive.

The focus of this thread is the proven (on other f-body platforms) low cost combination of '04-'07 4 piston CTS-V calipers with C6 Z06 14" rotors.

Not trying to hijack or get off topic. The setup I have seen functioning on a 01 F-body was a 6 piston cts-v caliper with a c6 Z06 rotor. Yes the 6 pistons are 2x as expensive but 4x cooler

I'm sure you've been busy with other projects, I was just curious if anything has come of this.

Side question - I've been looking through the pages on here and can't find an answer. What is the difference between these calipers and the C6 Z06 ones? I thought the C6 calipers were Brembo pieces as well, and that they mated to the F-body/Corvette brake adapter plates with out an issue?

The C6 Z06 calipers are Brembo but are 6 or 8 piston (I think 8 piston but am too lazy to look it up). The C6 Z06 calipers & pads are very expensive though. It's mainly a cost issue.

C6 Zo6 are 6 piston calipers in the front, 4 in the rear.

That's a good way to think about it, the CTS-V calipers may have more surface area than the Z06 though. They are also priced with the C5 calipers/pads and maybe a bit lower. I would call them the best bang for the buck of the OEM options (if they work, lol!).

I am calling a GM dealership right now, I'll be ordering calipers and then rotors. If all goes well, I will gladly test fit and snap pics for everyone. We have a Typhoon with the body off the frame in the shop so we can test easily.

the thread didn't die. Sportmachines actually had this setup at a booth at a NASTE syty hooter's meet. We need to modify the bracket a little bit to make the official kit, and we have to make new lines, but a kit is coming.

If it was easy, it would already be done.

Any updates on the kit fitment, so if i read this right the cts-v caliper is better fitment than the C5 calipers?

brackets were cut last week. i will have them in hand next week, i also figured out braided lines for the calipers...so this should be a oomplete kit here soon. I'll be sending the stuff up to sportmachines to test fit everything since they have a set of calipers. hopefully the spacers i already make for the c5 and fbody brakes will work out for these too, but guess we won't know till we try.
