Re: A ton of lost knowledge and experience...
I have over 10 years of time and money invested into these inglorious shitboxes and I don't know shit about nothin! That being said, there are a few repeat threads that I find annoying, especially if the info is readily available. But other various noob posts don't bother me that much, because if I happen to know the answer I feel like I can actually contribute to the site and be helpful for once.
We also need to understand that even though some similar situations have been previously covered, that not EVERY single problem that someone has had has been covered. Or it has been covered and there was no resolution at the end of the thread.
We were all noobs at one point, and I think this forum out of all the forums I've searched through is the most helpful. So many other car forums are chock full of bullshit or pointless stupid comments and memes that you have to sift through 15 pages just to see if there was a resolution, and most of the time there isn't.
I've seen a lot of the helpful and intelligent old timers come and go, and it sucks. People lose interest or come to their senses and realize how dumb these trucks are, and that's fine... but deleting posts to get back at people err whatever the motive is, is just silly. Why punish everyone else if you're pissed at a specific person(s)? It's about as pointless as blowing up a marathon.
