First Test & Tune of 2011 nets a 10.95

So the first test & tune of the year was promising with the new air to water. Right out of the gate the truck ran an 11.19 at 16psi, faster than it ever ran last year with 24psi & the A2A(11.23). I've been tracking down a lean issue with the fuel system so I limited the boost to 17 on Saturday to get some data on the new A2W. The truck flirted with the 10 sec barrier all day 11.08, 11.04, 11.02, 11.019, & finally a 10.955@122.5 5psi launch, 17psi. Times got faster as I lowered the boost launch & rpm on the 2 step since the truck spools up so much faster. Of course the only time slip of the day that didn't have my car number on it was the 10 slip, oh well, there's lots more where that came from. At least it's going in the right direction:tup:.

Congrats! Nice to see someone doing that with A2W!
Were you up at Woodburn? That looks like a great track.

Congratulation on the 10s.
The temp is much colder now, are you sure the gain you see is not because of the colder temp rather than the W2A?
Can you post a pic of your W2A intercooler?

Congrats!!! Len it has been a long road but its starting to work out now. The 120lbs injectors are on the way. I think you will be the first guy in syty land to run 120's with the stock ECM.

Thanks Nolan, your help in getting the truck to run the numbers has been instrumental. Your tuning & knowledge has definitely been the best investment I've made in the truck:tup:.

120s and liquor? That would be cool to see.

Nice passes. Slowly, the truth of the fact that the tune make most of the difference will get out.

Sucks that I couldn't get to the local track with a front mount snowblower... and it's only 3 miles away...

Hey if you think getting a10.x slip got you pumped, wait till you get that 1st 9.xx slip.

ya know I had a couple cigars in my console for a couple months just waiting for the day. lol

Yeah, I'm REALLY stoked for this year. That 10.95 run was made on what I thought were 84lb. injectors, were actually 55lb. injectors. The 55's were anemic for this motor, I'm surprised we got as far as we did with them. That's a credit to Nolan. He mentioned from the start the truck wasn't running like it should, numbers looked a little off to what it should be running. I just need to read numbers on parts better, that'll help him out alot:tup:. We just started tuning for the new 120lb. injectors & E85 & there's already a huge difference with no boost. Then throw in the other winter projects; built the custom Air to Water Intercooler & Downpipe, built a set of front tubular arms & mounted coilovers on all four corners, installed 2 line locks & wired up the launch stage on the Exile, the 2 step & the line locks to a launch button on the shift knob, built a set of solid motor mounts, threw on the new engraved rear diff cover we did for a few of the board members and I'm ready for some serious mustang hunting the summer:lol: It's going to be a totally different truck from last year. I'm hoping halfway through this season to be lookin' for some cubans for the console:tup:

Congrats Len! What's your compression ratio like? If you know. I'm guessing a 9.5:1.

I'm not sure what the compression ratio is, but Maxtor may chime in, I'm sure he may know since we share basically the same motor.
