so just because it had the tranny swapped because the guy didnt know any better, and because the mileage is off doesnt really bother me enough to pass on the deal, nor do i think its worth any less.

yeah but if you look at the pics of the truck on autotrader... theres a regular SyTy bezel in there... so somewhere down the road the saudi gauge cluster with 27k+ got the boot and the SyTy cluster got put it and now that one reads 13k.... so theres no real way to tell how many miles are really on the truck.

it's a real saudi ty - i sold him the cluster, surround and mounting brackets. I assure you he saved the original cluster.

Side note - it even has the bell at 8? mph

Wow, honestly by talking to the guy yesterday, i would have never thought he would have seen 90 and full boost.

He also said this in 2/05,

The Ty had 10,250 miles (converted) when brought back
in the US 4 months ago. Not much more since then. A
relative of the original owner brought it back and I
bought it from him.

damn, my "speed warning" totally goes off at 75.

kind of a novelty at 1st but then it just gets irritating and you have to turn up the radio.

Nah, I beat mine like a rented mule. Of course, I have no intention of selling it in the forseeable future, but I do expect this post to bite me in the ass if I do ever change my mind.

What the hell is this bell???

We rented SUV's from Saudi and Kuwait in 2003-2004. The speed is limited to 130 KPH on their roads. Do the conversion into mph and I bet you that is the bell Marty referred to. It dings as long as you exceed 130. You can either disconnect it or do what we did....turn the radio up until it drowns out the bell. 100 kph = 62 mph.

Well that is the same story the guy told me on ho he bought the truck, that the family didnt want it anymore and bought it back to the states and sold it.

But there is still the question as to when were the pics taken that show 27,7 Kilameters(17K miles) and by who?

So either somebody is lying, o rthey dont know the correct conversion factor.

And i never heard any bell, but we only go tit up to around 50-60, and thats all i was allowed to do, i thought about just punching it for the hell of it, but i didnt want to piss the guy off and have to walk back to my truck. So i never heard any bell, but it drove nice for me.

And i thoguh he bought the cluster from Scott and not Marty? But we know the cluster had 12,xxx miles when it was sold, and installed because the guy said he didnt care about the milage becaue texas didnt car any longr (after 10 years its odometer exempt) So im pretty sure he didnt bother to have it reset to the correct milage.

And if he still has the original cluster, ask him to take a pic of it and see what the milage is, id say whatever it says would have to be right and them convert from there.
