looks SICK ! , where did you get the bonnet ? what manufacturer is it ?
I think it's a ProCharger bonnet with a 3 1/2" v-band welded on so it'll never come off. PEACE>Tony

Wow.. looks great Tony... some really nice, clean work!
I haven't read the entire thread and I've never researched it, but would the front accessory brackets you're using bolt to the SyTy block? Would sure be nice to use the updated A/C compressor, and get it over on that side of the motor!

Re: Project "TURBONOMA" begins

I have no knowledge of the sy/ty blocks, so I can't say if the acc.brackets will work or not. There should be someone here that must know. By the way, I've always wanted a sy but couldn't find one here on the island(Puerto Rico) Your project is sweeet! PEACE>Tony

Don't forget to put the hose clamps on the heater core in thier proper spots before you start it. That engine looks way to clean to rinse down with coolant.

There's a thread on A/C that many of us talked about this very issue. I think the newer A/C compressor and system works much better than the older ones. All the front accrys from the 94up trucks work on the old Sy/Ty block/heads. There's a guy on here that has it all installed on his Ty/Sy already.
I'm planning on using the newer setup when I tear the engine back out of my wife's truck here real soon.
It'll all work... I have Typhoon manifolds/turbo on our 98 Jimmy.. all works together fine. :)
Hope that helps,
Scott~

he he...Don't worry I located the clamps in place guys.I downloaded the cal.file. The engine turns over but won't start. Need to check the usual stuff first like timing, spark, and making sure the injectors are working.

Found a gas leak on one of my hard fuel lines. Plugs are dry.Need to verify the dizzy and check for voltage at the injectors. Rome was not built in one day but this is killing me. PEACE>Tony

Well Sam sent me a revised tune today. He changed the injector delay. Hope this is enough to fire it up. PEACE>Tony

Re: Project "TURBONOMA" begins

Well after coming back home,I checked out the electricals and it looks ok. I have spark at the coil but I discovered some other gas leaks around the Y block in the rear of the mani. I also noticed I have no fuel pressure or at least the gage is not registering it now.@#$%&* seems like when I get close to firing it up, something else shows it's ugly face and throws a wrench at me. PEACE>Tony
