Re: radio delete

Thats it. If anyone has another one after i8av8 gets one, I want another one I can cut for gauges and one to keep uncut .

I got one cause I thought I was going to cut it up...but then realized how rare and hard they are to get. Instead, I just made my own delete:

Eventually, I'll install my alky control and ramcharger fan switches in the panel as well.

I took about a week to make mine...only because I had to build the backside of the panel to hold the LCD display for the boost controller. The display sits in a little CF saddle with a CF strap holding it to the panel.

Re: radio delete

not sure on price, but shouldnt be too bad, i would need to use a housing of someones for a template. I would use mine, but my ty is a bit too far from me right now. pm me or email me at robbc@thecarboncartel.com and we could figuire something out.

Re: radio delete

Anyone who has seen my ridiculous radio delete gauge pod would pass on that it is large and in charge. I will take pictures of it tomorrow but suffice to say, it was a bit overboard. It takes up the area of the two vents, the radio, the ash tray as well as the lighter. It houses a 5" monster tach and three of the bigger Auto meter gauges. It is a bit gaudy, but it holds a bunch of crap and I didn't have to drill or cut the dash. I think a pod that would hold a tach and maybe two of the PLX multi gauges would be decent. I am thinking of downsizing mine because the one PLX is good for all of the little gauges.

See ya,

that's very uncool. that's like dangling the carrot in front of the donkey.jk!

yeah, that's the one. i have the regular one with sheet metal closing the opening. it's also painted low gloss black. looks decent but i want the real thing.

looks very nice btw

Re: radio delete

thanks for the compliments... i can take better pics, that was when I was just first getting it in and test fitting.

The panel actually has a bezel since the LCD display face has one...I matched it so it would look as seemless as possible then painted the exposed areas I sanded down black....to which I also painted the LCD display housing black too...so its not just a simple flat panel and why it took a week to finish.

Ive been working on something else CF that will hopefully tie in the radio delete panel.....i'll keep that to myself though until I finish it off. ;)
