Lets be realistic here. If this guy really knew what he was doing like he said he does, he wouldn't even need to be asking us anything. I bet if we thought of questions even about the cars he said he knows about he couldn't answer them with out looking them up. I'd be shocked if this guy even has a SYTY.

I mean really, a guy that doesn't know how to use a period and he's going to do a frame off? **** that!!.

Dude's a booger, flick it and keep walking. Just don't wipe it on your sleeve or it'll stick around for who knows how long.:roll:

to the op, i have only been a member on here for a little over a year and do not even own a sy/ty.but i do spend about two hours a day here because i enjoy seeing what everbody is doing and have met some some realy good guys that have pointed me in the right direction with my project.A great majority of these folks have a realworld friendship beyond the web and are like family.If you decide to undertake your project i feel it would be most wise to show a tad bit of respect to them and a little less arrogance because you will need them either for parts that are not reproduced or for information. with that being said, welcome to the board and good luck.:tup:

This is true! I would pay 15 for a perfect running rebuilt resto Syclone, so would most of us on here. How ever after posting this i saw some of your previous posts and you dont even know how to wire the starter in your truck. I then decided to change the post to 12.5 since i dont want you expectations to high. This is never going to happen regaurdless .I have 100 times your skill level a full auto shop with the proper equipment and the money to do a full resto and i couldnt get it done for 15,000. My offer stands when its done i will come look at it, If done right id be getting a great deal.

^^ lol! My money is on this scenario.

My 2 cents if you're actually going to do the frame... Use por15 instead of rhino liner or rattle can. Just did mine and it looks awesome. And my 3 cents, my truck is almost completely rebuilt to better than new specs with a ton of performance and safety upgrades. Fresh paint would make it look showroom new. Cost me nearly $30k including the truck and to sell it I'd be lucky to pull $12,500 for it w/92k miles. I did the work and spent the money because I plan to keep it forever. If you think you're going to turn a profit you're wrong. Listen to these guys.

.... And if you do spend little enough to undertake this project the truck WILL be half assed and not done right. I'm fairly skilled when it comes to cars and I do 90% of my own work. My time is "free" but in parts alone its a losing battle money wise to do what you intend to do. Maybe, just MAYBE if its done perfect and you hide the truck in a sealed bubble for the next 30 years it will be worth something.

My advice, and take it that I am still a fairly new member, If you bought the truck only to flip it and don't have a passion or desire for the truck like most members on here do, then flip it now.

Change the butt ugly hood and grille back to stock and sell it. Once you start on it, it grows like a cancer.

You cannot get a good paintjob for $3000 especially black and a complete teardown, unless you are a painter and do it yourself.

Case and point on cost vs. value. I got my truck for a very reasonable price and it only had 78K on it.
All it needed was paint. Or so I thought. Needless to say, I am now hovering near the 20K mark into this truck.

Unless you paid less than 5k for the truck and can get it back to stock for less than $500, your going to lose money.

Listen or don't. I didn't listen, but I have loved these trucks since they came out when I was 16 and this is a permanent addition to the family, not a flip.

Auto's are like houses right now. How's that maket doing sales wise?.....

WTF dude. Are you 4 years old? Grow the hell up, telling somebody that you wishes he was dead. THey are trying to tell you and take it how ever the hell you want to. Don't do what you want to do to your truck. Your new to these trucks and they require alot of attention to just maintain them. Your best advice is to read what everbody is telling you to do and get that things working properly and then maybe "think" about doing a frame off. If it was mine that is what I would do. But it's yoru money/time and effort if you have too much money.......Donate some to this site and try keeping the peace with everybody. THey are here to help you, not rape you over the coals. But with that attitude you might be hard pressed to get info/parts from a member here.

Mike (TYTILIDIE) has some of the worse luck of any of us on here. But you know what? He gets out in his shop and fixes it. Usually the same weekend. He's one of the most dedicated owners we have here. He may break the same part 5 times in a row before he comes up with a solution, but he stays on it until it's fixed. I remember a few years ago his 700 was out of the truck 5 times in 3 days. He finally found the root problem.

When you show that kind of dedication, you can start running your mouth. Until then, you better just go away and work on your shit.

Take a look at the join dates, and post counts of the respondents in this thread. We're all trying to help by telling it like it is. DUDE! WE'VE SEEN THIS MANY, MANY TIMES BEFORE.

This all started cause you made a dumb comment when i asked for advice you sayed it was gonna be sold in boxes that really pissed me off even after you talk about your 12 year projects i dont doubt you know your shit but you really didnt give me advice now did you?
