Re: Sonoma GT 0334 - Build Pics

is there enough room to mount the master cylinders between the dash and firewall so they aren't even in the engine bay? They sorta detract from the look - i wish someone would design a cool looking master cyl.

quick dashboard...dunno what all you plan on adding to it. I know you're trying to get a sponsored stereo system...but a nice touch screen navi setup wouldn't suck. Also i was assuming you'd try to use a stock shaped glovebox door. Dunno what you intend to do for radio bezel placed vents, so i added some stock vertical sonoma gt ones. I dunno...i guess this is why i am not a designer of dashboards

Mike that is awesome - Thank you

okay here is what i am thinking about doing to the dash.

Dash Pad in Black
Burgandy is the Carbon Fiber Dash Surround
Yellow would be gauges mounted in a billet panel (see below)
Green would be Dash Vents
Gray would be a Billet Insert (would love to put syborg logo on the right side)
Oval under the radio would be Vintage Air Controls

This is kinda what i was thinking about doing with the Gauages. The fuel one won't work because of the steering column.

Billet Panel for Gauges - the main gauges are 3 3/8, the four little quages are 2 1/16 and the two floating gauges that are not in the panel yet are 2 1/8.

Here is the vintage air controler

I put all of the pics in a folder including all of the gauges.

Cool. Now I have something to keep me occupied when I have some down time at work. I can always use the excuse, "just keeping my photoshop skills sharp. ;) "

Well, here's a stab at it. I wasn't sure what you wanted to do with the previous vent space one either side or how (if any) the headlight/heater controls were to be positioned. Is that all going to be open cluster space now? Anyway, this is what I came up with.

that's pretty cool - can you remove the factory radio and glove box and just leave that area plain with a sony style radio 1/2 din in the dash

Thanks Jon

Here's the start to mine. :)

Before I get too carried away, what were you thinking for the dash pad/dash cover? Are you going leather? color? exposed metal?

Let me know and I'll keep going.

At this point and time i am planning on black leather. If you want - use your creative liberty on the dash and quages and see what you can come up with. Pretend it's your truck and do what you want. I will try to get a picture with the steering wheel on the truck so you can get the proportion correct. For now just dump the wheel.
