Thanks and here you be finally got the other pictures uploaded.

Pulled it into the shop to pull the body

body off some light surface in a few spots, we ground them down, por 15 the areas, and then undercoated the entire floor.

IMG_0762.jpg
[/IMG]

Had to notch the floor for the upper link bars mounts and the added frame braces. ( I would llike to add that no cutting was done until I had to leave the other night.)

Re: TTTyphoon

If you have a chance can you shoot me some close-ups of this area:

Area%20for%20close-ups.jpg

I'd be particularly interested in some shots taken with the camera a foot or two above the tire.

Thanks,

Re: TTTyphoon

Well the body is on the frame and bolted now, we had to lift the body back up to make a couple small notches in the floor but got them in and undercoated, We also got the control arms in but they are going to be heavily modified so Performance LLC is making a new set.

On with the pictures

Body on the frame and then up in the air to put the bolts in.

Re: TTTyphoon

Well the truck is loaded in the trailer and will be there for a few more days as we work on the other body parts. The hood is coming along pretty well but has made me want to put my head thru the wall more then a few times. :squint: . Also got one door handle done and in with the first skim coat on it. And otherwise blocked out the tailgate (sorry no pictures) And picked up another set of wheels for mock up , the deal was just to good to pass up. Also picked up a set of new fenders And a new grill, have the new insert in just needs alittle more tweaking before I take pictures.

anyway on with the pictures

The hood scoops are just set in place

Re: TTTyphoon

well waited a couple days to drop off the truck, per shops request.

The truck is ready to take to the body shop, hood is done, cowl is done, also tailgate is blocked out and going to be hung in a min. All that is left is to repair a broken tab on the cladding and clean it up.

[/IMG]

P3050787.jpg
[/IMG]

Added the holes in the door for cladding brackets

P3070802.jpg

And done and ready to be loaded in the morning

P3070800.jpg
[/IMG]

Also my faience Vanessa finished a sketch of my interior door and rear panels.

Should have a couple more pictures outside in the morning on its way to the shop

Thanks I like the smooth look but shaved doors are not allowed at the track and when there are painted it will disappear fairly well into the door.

I missed it too, how do your work so far? did you take the bracket off the swing arm to fit it in the door? I plan to just modify the 1st gen rod to fit, but any other ideas or pictures are always welcome,

Anyway the truck is finally out of my hands :D

Dropped it off at the body shop yesterday, should have it back shortly. I can not thank pat, charlie and kathie at burnsville Maaco Auto Body great folks and I know that they will do a great job.

They work great.. I've never had an issue with them.. One thing I did do though is make a "secret" means of manual entry should the battery die. My tail gate is shaved as well so if my batt died with the doors locked I'd be screwed.

Here are all of the pics that I took:

http://mattw.dyndns.org/cgi-bin/pic...erior/repaint/Front Doors/newer style handels

Specifically here is a pic of what I did with the rods:

Re: TTTyphoon

Cool thanks... How do you release the tailgate itself? Do you have a popper installed or a relocated handle inside? Also I have a manual release for the doors, as well as my battery is located in front of the rear tire so I should be able jump it if need be.

Thanks I was thinking the same thing for the door a picture always speaks a thousand words.

Edit: I just saw your other thread where you used window release solenoids, did you mount them below or off to the side of the latch? just curious where to place them so they do not interfere with the window realese... Thanks

Here they are.. I welded them to the actual release mechanism then just bolted everything back in place.

The fire wall unfortunately still needs adjustments for the down pipe to make it fit. And since the deadline to get the truck to my interior guy we will take it back and finish the paint after the required adjustments are in.

thanks I am very happy so far.
